I read the article and it does seem to support @fchowd0311 post that you could print a 3D firearm that could fire. It might not be reliable but it could be used as a weapon.

To me the technology on this will keep in improving so even if it’s not reliable now it just seems like a matter of time that it will be.

As I said, if you want to, you can get it done. 3D printing only makes it a bit easier and by far, it's too unreliable and hard to be of widespread use. Anyone that is very determined to "print" a 3D gun to assassinate someone is probably much more likely to get a gun off the black market.

I feel this isn't a technology problem so much as a material and mechanical problem. We'll see but I have much doubt 3d printing guns would be anything more than a "fun" hobby.

And being in a different state or what cable network news people watch doesn’t matter
If people feel disrespected to a certain limit they will react violently
This is just human nature and animal instincts

    People kill people

There was thread in the hangout that showed how most parts can be printed with mainly the barrel and a few other parts being metal.

Making one not out of the box easy-peasy yet, but it should be in the conversation.

President Joe Biden arrived in Southern California Tuesday afternoon to discuss gun violence and announce his new executive order to strengthen gun background checks.

Air Force One landed around 12:30 p.m. at LAX. Once on the tarmac, Biden was greeted by LA Mayor Karen Bass, Supervisor Janice Han and Brandon Tsay, the man who unarmed the Monterey Park mass shooter.

When he arrived, Biden announced the executive order, which the White House said had the "goal of increasing the number of background checks conducted before firearm sales, moving the U.S.
as close to universal background checks as possible without additional legislation." The order instructs the attorney general to ensure that firearm sellers who are ignorant of background check
requirements or ignoring them to come in compliance, according to the White House.

"I'm here with you today to act," Biden told the crowd at the Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley.
