Which play was this? He drew up the KJ Martin missed free throw and put back? Cuz I am not sure that's a play you can draw up lol..

 

I watched him coach in Rio and his engagement was always phenomenal. I want to see him as head coach for at least the rest of the season. Props to Lucas for allowing him to draw it up and not worry about whos d#ck is bigger. He let him do his thing. Grats on both those guys.

 

He might need to be the next coach frfr.

I don’t see him as a rookie head coach. He doesn’t have NBA head coaching experience, but he has been a successful head coach. It’s not the same as hiring someone who’s only been an assistant. We’ve seen that guys with similar resumes have a pretty good track record.

 

It's simple: fire Silas with 25 or so games left and let this guy audition

I watched him from behind the Rockets bench when they were here at the Chase Center and he was the most vocal person on the bench bar none. He was constantly coaching the players up. You can tell he’s a natural born leader and the players respect him.

In my line of work I have to hire/fire people who hold positions that are similar to a head coach, and in my opinion, he has a lot of qualities that I look for when I hire. I thought the same of Bickerstaff but obviously that didn’t work out for us.

 

Snyder is a very good coach at X's and O's and has gotten better at handling players.

I would be perfectly happy with Snyder coaching the Rockets going forward.

However, short of the Rockets getting Wemby, it isn't likely that Snyder will want to coach the Rockets.

Abdelfattah is a very impressive young coach. He is very well versed on analytics, and being in the G-League, he is on the cutting edge of what the NBA play calling and style of play will be over the next 5-10 years.

He also is not a pushover, expects a lot but it generally liked by his players, but more importantly he is respected.

The Rockets have so many issues, but they can do far worse than Abdelfattah.

 

Should absolutely use the rest of the season to let him audition.

 

I'll also add that KPJ isn't going to go at Abdelfattah more than once.. because one of them will be gone.

Abdelfattah doesn't play around with bullshit.

 

Can we just promote Lucas to head coach so he can do player management, have Abdelfattah do the X and O.

Just find nice guy front office role for Silas.

idk what folks see in Snyder, all i recall from him is that he was a head coach who got his a$$ pounded by Harden and didn't do so hot in playoffs.
