Yes, that's what it looks like for these individuals. Perhaps we also need to address the system of policing in general, as the problem is not only individual, but systemic in nature.
College degree possibly law degree as minimum requirement. This prevents short sighted potential cops who want a power trip. Those people now have to contemplate wanting that career through 6 years of schooling. Have the local community from a counsel of elders of that community or something have access to all social media accounts of recruits applying to see if there are any red flags about their social media accounts like posting thin blue line **** or "all lives matter" crap or constantly ******** on "black culture" and then have the power to say "drop this recruit". Their community. They get to decide who cracks their skulls. All cop uniforms should look like Red Dead Redemption 2 cop uniforms in St Denis. Remove all tactical gear. Make cops look goofy so the desire for people who want to be cops to look like Ricky recon bad asses is removed. A few things that will systemically improve law enforcement culture.
That's excessive IMO but one thing I would definitely do is instead of allowing the police to completely investigate themselves that there would be some type of civilian overview board to at least oversee that process. Another is make police unions illegal which I doubt is possible. Now I couldn't tell the difference with these 5 cops vs a crypts beatdown in the hood except for the lights and badges. What an all around disgrace to humanity in general and you still have shitbirds in this thread trying to score political points.
These cops should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and I hope they get what they deserve but anyone who supports Antifa is complete garbage. Those people are trash who bring absolutely nothing of value. They can spend all their time ruining stuff because they don’t work.
They just destroyed Atlanta even though it was a different case. Keep supporting these left idiots. Dumbocrats are trash
Are like flights to Atlanta canceled? Edit: a squad car burning down isn't destroying the city. I'm for their protest. The activist shot was from a group of activists that wanted to prevent an entire ultra expensive cop tactical training facility called "Cop City" from being constructed that over 70% of the city was against.
Antifa people are trash. Just look at their mugshots. I don't even think they actually care. They're just about destroying property. They don't contribute anything to society. Why aren't these people working? They get free money from people like myself who run a business. That's bullshit. I'm for police reform as well but I certainly don't want these clowns representing it. Wastes of oxygen
But the problem is you have zero intellectual curiosity and what we consider a "reactionary" as in your basis of information the r leads you to these knee jerk statements come from scroll clocking, click bait and memes. These are just empty lines you are saying. You have no clue what these activists in the forest to prevent "Cop City" we're doing. You are just reverberating your gutteral expression.
Maybe there just isn’t much there to stop. “Antifa” is more of an ideological orientation that a hierarchical, organized network of vandals and arsonists. What are you imagining the FBI should be doing? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-are-targets-of-multiple-probes-idUSKCN26F3C2
Don’t sweep the incident under the rug. There should be a very public vilification of these police officers for violating their sworn duty to protect and serve their community. And a national conversation over what leads police officers to do something like this and think they can get away with it.
Without funding, antifa fades out. When the political donors want chaos they are reactivated. Thankfully the past year, they haven't had funding. It will be interesting to see what kind of funding they have before the election next year.
Ok. I'm definitely dialed into to reality much more than yourself. You just hate the world. I'm not going to hurl insults at you. Hopefully one day you'll wake up and realize how ridiculous your view of society is. Antifa is absolute garbage. Like I said, if these people had jobs they wouldn't have time to do this nonsense. That's why society is where it is. You don't have children or a wife so you don't have much perspective. While I do respect and appreciate your military service you didn't do it for the right reasons and that's why you hate yourself.
Ya I suggest you try to keep that promise of not hurling insults at people you disagree with. Hopefully you've changed as a person as there been a routine habit of yours for years. Unlike you, I had a profession where 90% of my former peers are cops. I know the right wing culture of law enforcement in this country very well and the need for activism against them and their bootlickers is needed. The push for things like body cams wouldn't exist without activists spamming this cause in people's faces until they notice.
Atlanta wasn't destroyed or even close to it. Nothing even close to the city being destroyed happened.
Notice the tone here vs the Floyd incident that was as equally as open and shut and as if not more distributing but these same people were doing the whole "it might have been fentanyl" shtick trying to find every play in the book to find any avenue for Chauvin's innocence. You ain't gonna find poor stupid defenses for these cops though from this crowd.
Cops are black so they are bad too. They didn't even bring up the stop resisting angle. Now it is time to move to Antifa angle. Lock these cops up for the rest of their lives. They are gloating about beating a man to death. They don't need to be in our society anymore. Don't even know how a thread about the murder of someone suddenly transforms into an antifa thread. Same as pelosi getting his head bashed in and then it turns into some other narrative.
It looks like things remained calm through out the country which is good. I admit to being aprehensive last night about what might happen here in Minneapolis. With the Memphis Grizzlies in town to play the T-Wolves there was some concern that after the game that might turn into a flashpoint around Target Center. I think the swift charging of the LEO contributed greatly to the sense of calm and this is what I've been saying for years needed to be one of the biggest reforms. Holding LEO accountable to the much the same standards as civilians. That it was difficult to even get an investigation of LEO previously showed how little accountability they had. Incidences like this will still happen but if the public knows that LEO will be held to justice that will make things much better. It will also make things better fo the LEO to buid trust back with the public they are supposed to be guarding.
Last night when I was waiting to see if things might get bad in Minneapolis I was rereading the George Floyd Murder trial thread. It's very interesting to see the defense put up for Derek Chauvin and how some posters were declaring with certainty Chauvin wouldn't be convicted. Also how much of the thread was about George Floyd's character and past record. At the end of the trial it seemed obvious how weak the defense was.
