The eagles offense is dynamic. If that's coming to nrg with Gannon I can live with that. That would pretty much guarantee Stroud is the pick

The stupidest damn thing about hiring Gannon is that they could have hired him last offseason if Nick had let him pick his damn coaches. That would just be unbelievable.

As an advisor. If he gets an nfl job offer he's taking it

Think I just shifted to Gannon if that means Stroud

    Would prefer Steichen but whatever

Cal wanted Lovie on Gannon's staff. When Gannon said no thanks, Cal hired Lovie to be the HC.

Was he before or after Stoerner?

    Both went to Baytown Lee.

Johnson recruited Anthony Richardson to Florida and coached him during redshirt year…

Stroud can do everything Richardson can do better than Richardson. Richardson can't do everything Stroud can do. Richardson's talent could supersede Stroud eventually but it's going to take Richardson at least two years to get to where Stroud is now

    No.
Stroud is not mobile, he doesn’t handle pressure and his arm is good, not great.

Richardson is in a whole other stratosphere physically

Yeah they’re not really even remotely comparable in terms of physical traits. Richardson had far more arm talent and speed than Stroud. He’s also much more of a raw prospect which will make him a really tough eval, but in the right system he can become the next stud QB if all goes well.

Stroud is just an absolute no go for me. Limited upside, Avery and Mulugheta client, Ohio St QB and his metrics under pressure aren’t good.
One good game against Georgia doesn’t “fix” all that.
Stroud is physically Davis Mills, he’s just more polished. Not worth the number 2 pick

That's so weird, why would you saddle a defensive coach with a DC that doesn't run his scheme? I thought the issue was always McCown?!

Its amazing to see how many posters go full-on "This guy is a bust.... or this guy is a can't miss" before any player even sniffs an NFL field. Just sets people up for total embarrassment when these posts are re-hashed if the stated outcome is just that wrong (see how everybody's favorite Texans poster gets embarrassed everyday by his past "predictions").

Curious to see what all the predictions were here for Mahomes from all the experts.... probably a lot of the same drivel.

(by no means am I advocating for either Young or Stroud... but I'm also not dumb enough to write any of them off for their career at this juncture).

Sounds like you’re scared to share your opinion. Others aren’t. Being wrong isn’t scary, if there’s more times you’re right.
Track record for player types along with physical ability is all scouts and message board scouts can go off of.

    I wanted Mahomes

Again, one game doesn’t change who he is. He can not handle pressure.

One game against NFL-Level talent. The best defense in the country basically on their home turf.

    No, you’re an idiot.
Davis Mills is probably a better athlete than Stroud. Strouds arm is not anything to write home about either.
Physically they are very similar. Stroud is not a runner, he’s not mobile, terrible under pressure and has a good arm-not great.
It’s also really easy to be somewhat accurate throwing to all world receivers that are wide open.

By that logic, Levis is a great prospect too. He performed great against that defense and LSU defense last year. One game and all.
