Clutch on Silas’ post-game presser: “Something definitely changed”

No mention whatsoever of Sengun's performance.

He has been on losing teams for 18 of 20 years as an assistant. He compiled the historically worst record of any head coach, ever, in his time with the Rockets.

Yet, he has always been smiling and giggly, almost in an irrationally creepy/weird way.

Only once KPJ got hurt, he was forced to play Sengun more, and Sengun started to prove that Silas was horribly wrong in prioritizing KPJ at the expense of Alpi - only then he suddenly gets angry.

It's utterly bizarre.

 

Fake tough guy/coach act. No one buys it.

 

Wants his son to be the star player, even if it means holding the entire team back. Both Lucas and him should be working at a troubled youth center not coaching professional basketball.

It's not his fault he's being forced to start Smith and Smith isn't ready .

Idk what rotation decisions are even in his hands

It's unfortunate , but Tate and Matthew's are prolly in our.best lineup . Only 2 guys who reliably play D at this point .

Green has had 5 good games.all year . Sengun can be a stud , but he's 20 and needs experience.

Patience wearing thin on the rebuild.

 

Matthews was the reason we lost that game last night... i like his effort for sure, but he doesn't seem additive to winning right now.

 

Lol I watched the first half , but went out to run some errands in the 3rd and when I came back it was too late .

So idk what happened .

But my gut is always play Tate more

 

G Bird played well in the win against Minny but was lousy last night.

If we are pinning the loss on one non-Silas person I’d pick Gordon, though.

 

His crappy rotation to start the 4th has not changed though.

 

I know I've taken a month hiatus from watching the Rockets, but this sure as hell doesn't sound right. Did Matthews suddenly gain lateral quickness? I can't imagine he is playing any D, besides just playing hard.

I'm upset at myself for missing these Sengun games, but always thought he should be the one running the offense despite his tendency to try to do too much sometimes. Hopefully he is doing better. Silas is not the coach for this team, but we've all came to accept that sometime last year. We gave his first year a pass.

 

Mathews is given too much freedom from Silas to just wing up shots without setting his feet or anything. Disgusting how there is ZERO discipline on this clown show of a team. Somebody also tell Silas that TyTy is on the team next time he whines about KPJ being out and having to play EG, Tate, and Jalen as point guards. Can’t believe this site never seems to hold this team accountable. It is the Jonathan Feigan of team fan sites!!!
