Only to people who won't look past the surface. The severity depends on the level of classification and cooperation as well. Simply deciding that crimes no longer matter isn't really a move that makes the most sense
I deal with classified information. You will not be prosecuted for a violation unless the behavior is deemed willful, malicious, or grossly negligent. A box in your house is not that. Apparently even setting up a server in your house for that purpose doesn't qualify. At worst you will be fired from your job and lose your clearance. That is why the FBI raid on Mar a Lago was ridiculous. And now these pencil pusher tyrants are coming after Biden and Pence.
The raid wasn't. Trump was given multiple chances to avoid the raid and comply. Nobody would have even known about Mar-a-Lago if Trump had complied and also not publicized it in the first place. None of the other attempts to retrieve the documents were leaked. Nobody is coming for Biden or Pense as far as we know since they are apparently cooperating.
trump was given plenty of time to hand over the documents and he refused. his attorneys lied about finding everything. trump claimed they belonged to him. trump also claimed the FBI planted the documents. trump was dishonest and all over the place with his excuses. we havent seen that from sleepy joe or churchy mclegoman...their people found the documents and notified the government and have so far been cooperating. i haven seen either of them make any kind of excuses or concoct any conspiracy theories like trump and his followers have.
