$20 for a 6 pack of Michelob Ultra seems very excessive. I don’t even see Guinness that expensive at my local liquor store. Grain can be used for a lot of other things besides beer. So if beer is expensive because of grain that means that bread is also. We know Putin will use energy as a weapon. Having him be able to use food as a weapon isn’t good.
Maybe top 10 trolliest posts I’ve encountered. Like Hollic/Jopat level. Touché. Do you not consume grain?? It’s called making a point *******. And I love how sympathetic you are to poor Russian soldiers being killed by Ukrainians. I missed the part where Ukrainians invaded Russia. We aren’t killing people for cheap beer Tucker… we are supplying defense weapons so a country can protect itself from a dictator invading their country.
It’s called making a point. I don’t like Michelob Ultra. I clearly said it was for my wife which implies a begrudging purchasing decision. The price of beer has skyrocketed but yes I know that is higher than even normal… but again.. it’s just making a point about basic supply and demand economics. The global supply of grain and wheat is affected by Ukraine’s ports being under attack and it’s workforce tied up trying to stay alive. I didn’t think that it was a diff Ricky point to understand but I guess I was wrong.
I got your point and agreed with it. $20 for a 6 pack of Michelob Extra though seems pretty excessive even for now.
uhhh I didn't say anything about Russian soldiers however to that point, you should understand these are pretty much conscripts. Most of them don't want to be there anymore than the Ukrainians want them in their country. I am sure Ukraine will continue on winning for the next 20 years until war mongers like yourself change your narrative and decide its time to hand over the full efforts to Ukraine, which of course will collapse in a matter of days instead of the projected months or years that you naively tell yourself to make you feel better all for the purpose of enjoying your over priced crappy beer. My bad, am I getting confused with Afghanistan and every other war we've been involved with over the last 50 years?
Kroger.... which is basically all we have up here in DFW are Kroger owned chains. Wal Mart actually has the best beer deals but sometimes you just gotta stop where you have the time to stop. But regardless even the liquor store and Target lately have been very high with beer prices. It's an extreme example but not that extreme.
Okay Tulsi. Your fake righteousness is always here to give us a good laugh. I'd rather be called a war monger than be a Putin apologist any day of the week. You are smart enough to know that it's Putin killing those Russian conscripts not Ukrainians with American bombs & bullets. Freaking Lindberg over here I swear. We all know the line you'd be singing back in 1939 for sure. Most of those Germans are poor conscripts anyways right. They aren't Nazi's. America should just stay out and let Britain and France "war monger" against Germany for the next 20 years. Go watch Tucker tonight and Fck off dude. Self righteous POS.
Nobody is apologizing for Putin and who thinks anyone but Putin is in control? My point is Putin will continue this war indefinitely while we continue to spends hundreds of billions to prop up this country when it inevitably fail when we finally cease to keep spending the money. They are not a NATO country and we do not have any obligations to support the American regime in Ukraine. I completely understand its not your family fighting in these pointless wars so you can simply take a passive 'high horse' position. And no, Putin/Russia is not going to be invading any NATO countries if/when Russia takes Ukraine. This is an incredibly stupid narrative.
We spend 700+B on defense yearly. ~50B spent on the Ukraine war so far. As has been pointed out, if we are just looking at pure return, it's one of the best returns we have spend on defense. We can sustain this far longer than Russia can sustain this war. This isn't the US-Afghan war that has cost the US 2.2T and continues to climb yearly to care for veterans of the Afghan war and where the Afghan gov was weak as hell, a reason why forever US troops were needed to hold back the Taliban. The Ukrainian has shown that it not only can defend against Russia's invasion but has pushed them back with 0 US troops.
If I were Putin, I would save scum to right before the invasion and just not do it. He completely ruined Russia for a lifetime.
100 Bradley's/ 100 Stryker IVF / 35 ABRAHMS / 12 CHALLENGERS/ 20 LEOPARD 2 = can beat anything Russia has. Ukraine has a strike force that could topple Russia. This might get ugly...
Yep. I'm in DFW. Just went to my Kroger app 19.99 for a 12 pack of bottles on sale for 15.99 right now. Tell her to switch to cans. On sale for 21.99 for a 24 pack right now...LOL
Damn, that's San Leon titty bar beer prices right there, son, yes it is. I pay over a $1 for a beer at home I better get some tatted up saggy boobs in my face.
I swear it was 18.99 for a 6 pack bottle, but yes they did have the twist bottle twelve pack for like 21. I think they price it like that to get rid of the unpopular shapes that sit. My wife always gets pissed when I get those and I’m like sorry… talk to Kroger about their weird pricing. Wal Mart though has the good deals on the big bulk case.
How TF is this a good return? What are we getting?? The United States can sustain this indefinitely. Europe, not so much. Russia's most powerful weapon (which the war mongers seem to ignore) is natural resources. If NATO attacks Russia, its nuclear war and you piss off the Russian citizens. Nobody wants their country invaded, not matter what shitty leader you have. If we sit on another 2 decade proxy war, Russia will simply use its military and economic powers to continuously manipulate and disrupt the global economy. Hurrah! We are winning yet another war that has no objective. We had the full force of America in Afghanistan and it still couldn't stop the Taliban. This goes completely against your logic. If you can't stop a bunch of tribes, how are you going to stop a major country? You clearly do not understand the concept of proxy wars.
I can't beleive you just typed this up and you have the audacity to call someone else clueless. You're comparing fighting the taliban who had safe refuge in Pakistan to fighting a conventional war in Ukraine. You do realize we defeated al qaeda within 2 weeks of our initial invasion in 2001. The objective in Russia is to deter China and show them there will be severe consequences if they move on taiwan. We do not have the capacity to onshore semis until 25ish.
