    I think he's 6 feet tall.

I hope so, if he’s 6’ 200 lbs it would do a lot to calm fears.
But I can almost guarantee he’s not 6’

Anything south of 6 feet should be a total deal breaker when picking this high in the draft. Full stop.

I personally don't think being 5"10" should necessarily be a deal breaker with how talented he is, the weight would be more of a concern for me. However, I reallllly don't see a team giving up multiple future assets to take him with his frame/durability question.

They don't want to use logic, only rhetoric. People have their bias and care less about facts and common sensibility

The weight is not an issue because he can gain pounds and work out hard. I hope he is at least 5'11 because Russell Wilson is 5'11.

Not sure his frame can hold weight and still keep his mobility. Can’t really afford to lose any

I just find it interesting that Kiper says he sees Stroud as the best fit when we don't even know who our coach is, let alone what type of offense we'll be running from here on out.

In response to that reddit quote, I don't know how to evaluate Stroud's processing, since most of his plays are not whole field reads, and with his elite receivers he likely doesn't look beyond the second option most of the time.

Bryce has good receivers as well, but he's undoubtedly doing full field reads, and he's playing in an NFL offense. Ohio States offense is notoriously simple, which is why their QBs often struggle in the NFL.

What's the bigger issue - size, in a league that goes out of its way to protect that position and will continue to do so, or the unknown of what's between the ears (despite it possibly being good, who knows?)?

That's the most amusing part of all of this. Until you have a coaching staff and a philosophy, there really can't be any reasonable evaluation of QB's.

Texted my son the news about the Kiper mock draft and his response was: "Coach first"

I do wonder if a defensive minded HC (Demeco, Gannon), would the incoming OC have more of an input than the HC of which QB to go after? Obviously not the final call, but if we were to hire Payton or Steichen it would obviously be just them giving their thoughts.

I probably wouldn't have told McShay anything like this because now if he doesn't make it to this weight, people will be disappointed. Now that I've heard the actual quote, 210 is his goal for weight he wants to be at in the nfl, not what he'll be at by the combine.

Hopefully it doesn’t effect his mobility
