It did make the news back in 2018 when a woman claiming to be Jane Doe later admitted she wasn't Jane Doe. The real Jane Doe, if there is one, never came forward. What this woman did doesn't diminish what Ford testified to and went through. She was credible and the GOP reframed it as a case of mistaken identity. Ford didn't forget. I found her extremely credible. You choose to believe whatever you want.

In fact, some of the witnesses she identified, such as Leland Keyser, did not refute her allegations but simply stated that they did not remember the specific party where the alleged assault took place. And as I said, Ford's testimony was considered credible by many including Republicans, and it is not accurate to suggest that her claims were uniformly rejected by all witnesses. I do not wish to continue discussing this matter as it is important to have accurate information in order to have a productive exchange. IIRC none of the witnesses could affirm it happened. Not remembering the year isn't really surprising, either.

haven't seen it. the allegations quoted in the article appear to be more hearsay, however. I'd like more info on Kamala's role in surfacing these unsubstantiated allegations. perhaps this is what recommended her to her current boss, the progenitor of unfounded allegations against judicial nominees.
