Learned today that Jim Capaldi of Traffic made a little doodle of a guitar player with puppet hands, then, bored, wrote a note to the guitarist in the doodle. On it he wrote, "Dear Mr. Fantasy, play us a tune." You can probably guess the rest.
Holly Herndon - Platform James Blake - Overgrown That first album is a somewhat "indie" electronic album. It was a strange but surreal listen.
Stumbled into a band called Clown Core. Fantastically undescribable. Electronica with attention issues.
I'm an easy-to-please simpleton. Just put 90's fuzz guitar behind a country music backbeat/melody and I'll like it.
Cerrone - DNA Space - Deliverance The Cerrone album is absolutely brilliant electronic music. Fans of Kraftwerk, Vangelis, all types of synth pop, etc. need to listen to this album ASAP.
I like Churches, but I have to take them in limited quantity. Sometimes I really like them, sometimes Laurens vocals grate on me. I guess it depends on the mood. I like their "Cry Little Sister" better than the original.
I can see where her vocals will do that. The funny thing is their first 2 albums were solid but I have really grown to love their last 2 albums. No skippable tracks on either one of those albums.
