Dear Emanu El Family,

As you are aware, we had an incident over the weekend in which someone broke into our building in the middle of the night. She was apprehended and removed by police, and charges were filed against her. Subsequently, the congregation reviewed our security protocols, increased our security presence at designated times, and held an all-staff meeting during which our Executive Director David Lamden informed the staff, reviewed safety and security protocols, and distributed copies of the intruder’s picture.

This morning, while vendors were bringing video equipment into the building, the same woman, who is out on bond, returned to Emanu El. She entered the chapel during Becker Shabbat and took a seat. Two of our staff members recognized her immediately and summoned security personnel who promptly entered the chapel to remove her. Although the police were called, she fled the building before they arrived. We have been informed that, as a result of her return to Emanu El, her bond was revoked and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

 

I'm guessing she was Anti-Woke.

Winsor said Law made several social media posts where she identifies the executive director, adding their date of birth and a death date for 2023. She said it was “threatening” and in violation of her personal recognizance bond of not committing other crimes, Winsor added.
