They’re not elite within their first couple years, but they show clear signs that they will ascend to that level. That’s what I meant, not that they instantly are Top 20-level guys out of college, but you absolutely see signs of dominance early in those guys.

And Jalen has had spurts of great play, but he’s far more inconsistent than he should be for a guy with his talent/athleticism/etc. and he’s outright bad far more than he should be.

 

His issues are consistency and defense. Im more worried about defense and the lack of a real coach to teach him those dynamics.

 

Yes. Coaching has done him no favors that is for sure.

 

Wow. Sengun led the team in scoring last night while taking the least amount of shots of anyone in the starting lineup (9) and the same amount of shots as Josh Christopher. And, on top of that, that was on a night in which he was terrible at the free throw line. And he also led the team in rebounds, blocks and assists. He's almost as good as Josh Christopher. I can almost see why the Rockets are giving him as many shots as future MVP Josh Christopher.

Do you remember the stat that Craig Ackerman gave about sengun vs Barkley shooting on average 65% or something in last 6 consecutive games? I missed the exact comparison.

 

Sengun is doing great on offense......but his D is lacking, same as the rest of the team.

"We don't look very cautious making these turnovers". Silas may not be Mr. Mean but this isn't exactly praise. "The counter is move the ball and not stand around."

I mean it's pretty clear at this point he's been given orders to tank. He has to put guys in position to lose, how much complaining can he do about it afterwards?

We better get #1 or #2. And then they better be a franchise level, transformative, generational, superstar from day 1 player.

And also that's going to force an issue either way. Getting Wembanyama means your best current player (Sengun) probably has to go because he's not going to want to sit on the bench, watch the team give the spot to an unproven player after earning the spot. Getting Henderson means Porter, your most invested player, probably has to go because he's not going to want to sit on the bench, watch the team give the spot to an unproven player after... well after the team did that for him anyway.

Looks like Green already can't handle being 2nd banana to guys that are playing better. How's he going to feel when a real superstar, tip of the spear guy shows up?

Martin is upset because he isn't getting paid like the other drafted young players but he's playing just as much.

Jabari is mad because he wasn't drafted 1st.

Eason's mom is mad because he can't make a layup.

Nix is mad because he sucks.

Mathews stays mad just because.

Gordon is mad because he doesn't want to be here with all these kids.

This team has too many feelings.

 

KPJ and Jalen are both turnstiles on defense. They funnel their coverages straight to Sengun.

 

Dont forget KPJ's uncle making anti Sengun posts on Twitter. Just classy lol

Quit comparing Green to Kobe. At the same age, Kobe had way better handles, more athleticism, taller, more consistent defensive play, Shaq, and Phil Jackson. The only thing that Green maybe better is at a freedom to shoot whenever. Somewhere along the way, he's lost his confidence when playing against certain elite young SG. Poor coaching has a lot to do with this. I wonder how many pts will Mitchell get when they play the Rox?

Regarding Jalen. Your level is how you play on your worst games, everybody has good games now and then. He has a lot to learn but doesnt have person who can teach him

 

I was ultra hype on Green but they lied to me. Its Ok to lie to me that he is 6’6 50inch jumping workaholic. But Stone should se guy is 6’3, his vertical has no use since he falls down every contact, and is a lazy mf who plays matador defense. I still believe in him but i wont believe anything USA scouts/hype says about talents in USA ever again

 

Either another lie or he works on wrong things/the wrong way. Not a single reason why he isnt 20 pounds heavier from the day he was drafted

 

Dont get fooled. Everybody looking allstar against us. Rockets are not NBA level team in any department

 

Too bad Jalen didn't take the next step like Anthony Edwards this year. I think they are similar, just Edwards has confidence because his jumper isn't broken. When both Edwards and Green are hot they are similar players, with irrational confidence. Its just Edwards has a more reliable jumper therefore he is confident more
