Would a Wembanyama and Sengun frontcourt work?

Exactly, seems so obvious, doesn't it?

Sure, they can play on the same team.

Alpy, coming off the bench, but theres enough minutes for a Wemby / Sengun / jabari frontcourt.

You might consider trading Sengun and his weirdo fans in a package for Scoot. That would be a win win for everyone.

I see his NBA stats, that's good enough for me.

I would be delighted if we could grab Wemby. We just shouldn't automatically assume he will be the Messiah.

At a similar age, Alpi was more successful in a better league.

Of course, Wemby has something you can't teach - height (as JVG said). That can be a curse and a blessing, of course.

Nice deflection, let's be open about it. He has none because the team he played for wasn't remotely good enough to get in the Euroleague in the first place. That's why there's a lot of smoke and mirrors when people try and compared Doncic being Euroleague MVP and Sengun being Turkish MVP. Doncic was the best player in the top competition in Europe, Sengun was MVP of a league on a team that played two whole tiers lower than the Euroleague. It's like saying the MVP of a league lower than the G league is comparable to Jokic.

All of that would be relevant to try and make predictions about how someone's game would translate to the NBA. Dirk Nowitzki played for a second division team in Germany before he came to the NBA; certainly didn't play Euroleague. We have already seen that Sengun's game translates to the NBA. So whatever point you are unsuccessfully trying to make about where he played as an 18 year old kid when he became the MVP of his league (which is, by the way, the second best national league in Europe) is entirely irrelevant and just shows your desperate bias.

If we get a top two pick I’ll just be pleasantly surprised. But I’m really kind of over the draft stuff until it actually happens.

Actually, I think it'll be the only reason to keep him, is if we get Wemby. Wemby would be a great shot blocking presence and defender at the PF.

If we don't....Sengun GOTTA GO! GOTTA GO!

Not that I don't like Sengun, I just think he offers "ZERO" defensively.

You get a guy like Wemby and still are not good, there will be a massive spotlight from around the world on Silas. Getting Wemby will be amazing. Even if he is a bust it it still means Silas will be gone.

You can't have two ultra alpha players on one team -- they'd be at each other's throats in a week.

Wemby was not good at Euroleague and his current numbers in French League is also not jaw dropping.
He plays nearly 32 minutes per game
    21.4p
    9.4r
    2.0a
    0.9s
    3.2r
    0.479 fg%
    0.295 3ptfg%
    0.811 FT%.

Except blocks his numbers are not impressive. Alpi had similar or better stats in a better league at the same age except blocks (his bpg was 1.7).

Hope Wemby becomes as good as people wished but he is not Messiah yet.

When evaluating Wemby, i'd look more into the video. It's not really about the offensive numbers. Wembanyama's defensive presence scares the offensive players and forces them to make errors. I'm not sure why you wouldn't include Wemby's block numbers as it is one of the biggest aspects why he's so coveted (3.2 bpg in an athletic French league).

Alpi and Wemby are very different archetypes of a player. Alpi has that innate game sense that you can't teach and is capable of becoming a Jokic-lite offensive hub. But he's never going to be a force defensively due to his limited size/length and at best average athleticism by NBA standards. I guess them being so different and complimentary to each other is what's intriguing. Wembanyama can cover so many of Sengun's weak points, while also fitting well on offense next to him.

2 ultra Alphas and a head honcho going to hooters after victories. I can't wait!

Maybe . But it could be at the point where you think sengun has great value , to bring on Victor we will have to lower one of their values or opportunities. Sengun will be wanting opportunity so he can get paid .

I think a front court of those 2 will work . But we will be concerned about spacing . And one of them will have to learn to shoot . Jabari needs.to show that too

I don't have trust in this front office to make good decisions. They might think that trading sengun this off-season is great from a risk standpoint if we can get Victor. Plus senguns value will be quite high.

I think our FO is unrealistic about green and kpj , but kpjs contract was actually reasonable from what I remember .

My dream team , assuming people learn how to shoot

    Tate
    Tari
    Jabari
    Victor
    Sengun

Wembanyama - Jabari front court is 100 times better.

Much like a Wembanyama - Chet front court. The opponents with be lucky
to score 74 points per game vs them. Two mind flayers like that providing
    help defense for one another.

Wembanyama - Jabari - Tari would have the same results. One mnd flayer (Wemby)
with two semi-mind flayers (Bari/Tari).....forget about it !!! All 3 able to switch everything
on offense and defense. Providing help defense for one another.

You don't see Bari and Tari on the court at the same time much this season; but next
year when we want to win......release the Kraken !!!

No need for Sengun on offense or defense.

Jabari is currently one of the worst players in the league. It doesn’t matter who you pair him with so long as his team defense, boxing out and shooting is putrid.

Meanwhile, if Wemby continues to shoot the 3 like he is and can learn to cut like KJM, Alpi will accrue 10 assists a game just passing to Wemby alone. Pair them with a decent defender on the perimeter who can hit the 3 and a point guard who doesn’t turn the ball over, and you have a very potent lineup.

He alters shots but I doubt people are actually scared of him or his game.
