What’s really crazy is that a 7 assist/4 turnover night from your 20 year old CENTER is a higher A/T ration than your starting POINT GUARD, Mr. 1.5 to 1…
Sengun needs a Power Forward, who can bring the interior defense for us. Jabari should be a Small Forward.
Looks like another fantastic game for Alpi. So proud of this dude!! He's looking in better shape too I don't know if anyone noticed, more of an NBA body than when he got here. Not to mention Naz Reid was guarded very effectively (I've only watched highlights so far, but I'm guessing Alpi was guarding him). The team in many ways is breaking apart. Being criticized in the media, effort level is down, players not taking defense seriously, ball not moving much. Right now the only exception to that is Sengun (and to some extent Tyty, Tari and Jabari). Definitely peaking as a player right now, can't argue with those who say he's the best overall player on the team right now. It's really important when you see a young player rising to the occasion when things get tough, it's an excellent sign. Right now he's thriving even though KPJ, Green and Jabari are not really punishing people from the 3pt line to create some space for Sengun. I'm sure there's more exciting games coming.
Silas failed to hold people accountable to continue to play like in the beginning. Piss poor effort from Jalen.
Looks like this guy really cares. It’s a crime what is happening with this organization, a real crime. Some good kids are getting psychologically damaged, for what? Don’t tell me that a few % points higher chance of getting a French genetic oddity that may break before his first NBA game, like Holmgren did, is worth all of this!
It's worth it. Young players need to suffer to learn. They need to learn what not to do in order to find the way. It's part of the process. We'll get one more star player after all the losing. Green should mature next year. Sengun, Jabari and Wembajamma will need a few more years to come of age.
TBH I have been neutral on Jalen but last night he did not look like he belonged in the NBA much less the16th pick. For a #2 pick he was shameful. I am not quite yet ready to call him a bust but he sure is looking like one. Sengun on the other hand continues to prove he should have been the top pick of the 2021 draft and was an absolute STEAL at 16.
Except KPJ had some games where his TOs were equal to his assists. Sengun has not done that yet to my knowledge when he is used as the hub. Sengun has the higher TS, higher PER, higher WS, higher BPM, and higher VOP. He's the better overall player, period. The narrative is different for each player because--guess what, they're different players. Sengun has high BBIQ and is unselfish, getting everyone else involved. He's a good playmaker. KPJ has low BBIQ, is selfish, and plays iso to the detriment of the team. He's a bad playmaker.
Must be a bitter pill to swallow for some fans. Draft position doesn’t mean anything when the guys start playing ball in the NBA
Why don't you go look up KPJ and Alpi's assist to turnover ratio and tell me who is better? Oh never mind, I will do it for you. KPJ 5.6APG 3.6Tpg = 1.55 assists to turnover ratio Sengun 3.3APG 2.3Tpg = 1.43 assists to turnover ratio This is 100% what I am talking about people just talk out their ass, without knowing the facts. Many fans here think Sengun is a good passer and KPJ isn't......just bizzare......and IMHO the team is much better with BOTH OF THEM to give the defense something to think about if the right don't get ya the left one will. I am not b****ing about Sengun's rate, just pointing out that people should be consistent if you bash KPJ as he is learning for his than you damned well should be doing the same to a guy who is worse. DD
Whether it's KPJ or Alpi, they could both have a much higher assist to turn over rate if guys could just make wide open shots, it's impossible to get assists on this team cuz the whole team just fired up bricks. Gordon wide open last night almost shot an airball. Like wtf is happening,
