We both were high on Meyers. He was higher than me but I was definitely of the opinion that Meyers needed to have a month back in the saddle to see if we needed to do anything with CF or if he was just the answer. I think he wasn’t healthy and should get a good shot at ST to take the job, but if he doesn’t start walking more and then pop doesn’t come back he’s not the guy.
Even without Hensley man. Yuli plays below average 1B by the numbers (but muh scoooooooops) and just doesn’t profile to a guy that can help the team in a backup role.
Get that bag Yuli. I'm happy he's playing where he mainly lives in the off-season. Big Cuban population there. It makes sense for him at this point of his career. Left the Astros on a high note that's for sure.
Favorite quote of the day. "Bro, let me go to sleep." Jeremy on Alejandro facetiming him in the middle of the night to give him scouting reports.
Think about it guys ship Meyers and a couple prospects plus Maton to the Marlins for Cabrera SP. Then ship Urquidy or Garcia for a true CF type like Mullens or someone along that line. Js this would make this team unstoppable.
The fan responses are interesting. I get the Yuli love, but he fits an off field role better than an on field role. He is not a utility guy at this age and we have his replacement on board already. But they are angry at Bagwell for saying it in official speak. Beard is looking better. FIT is the key word.
Would be really weird to hire a guy without a numbers background this day and age, but Crane must be confident that he can utilize the nerds data, or at least one would hope.
On Fubo from personal experience, one has to remember to turn off cell phone notifications when Yordan is up in the 9th in the postseason.
