Crazy to even have that run through your mind.

That is beyond my powers, but I pledge this: I will make a Super Bowel prediction, to the best of my pathetic NFL abilities, and lo, it will be demonstrably proven wrong.

I don't see how at least one team doesn't fall in love with Young and trade up to #1 get him.

And I don't see how the Texans trade up from 2 to 1 given how it would be an admission of incompetence in tanking the final game.

If those two things are true, Bryce Young is not an option.

I don't see the Bears drafting Bryce Young. The Texans are drafting him at 2, but I won't be surprised if they draft CJ Stroud over Bryce Young.

I've heard a few people say this, but such logic is actually flawed. Doing so would be letting their emotions influence their decision making. Even though we could have had the 1st pick, it doesn't matter now; if they have BY as their QB1 (and better than Stroud), then they should try to move up, if it is a reasonable cost.

Emotional decision making would be ignoring the hard data that trading up in the draft is rarely the smart move, as teams think they're smarter than they actually are and pay an irrationally high price for what amounts to a guess.

The irrational move is trading up (from #2 to #1) for Young just because he's their QB1, and not just selecting Stroud or Levis if they are the 2nd QB choice.

Well, it would be different for the Jets right?

Win end of season, lose 1st pick overall, pick Wilson at #2 over Lawrence?

It depends on how you rate them.

What if you view our QB1 at Tier1 and your QB1 as Tier 3?

My hope is that a team - preferably not the Colts - jump to #1 & draft Bryce Young. I'm just not convinced that he'll hold it, physically, and having another take that decision off the Texans hand would be a blessing.

I'm pretty sure once the combine numbers come out, Bryce Young's stock is going to take a hit due to his measurables.

You know damn well people and scouts want to know if he’s sub college measurements or even sub 5’10 185

If he’s sub 5’10 and below 185 it will make a difference, but that’s highly doubtful. He’s gonna get as close to 200 as he can and I think it’s fairly clear that he’s at least 5’ 10 for most people who don’t have an agenda.

We will see. I don’t think it’s that clear personally, with his hair he might be over 5’10.
Height is one thing, can he add mass without losing his athleticism. If he loses any movement or speed he’s a sitting duck
