Sengun - going all in, would ya?

Scola's game was 90% midrange jumpers and actually had the "below average athleticism" you try to put on Sengun, just ****ing lol at that comparison.

Not really when you've started a bunch of threads with dubious timing. You've been pretty vocal about your opinion so I'm not sure why you are hiding from it now. This is a forum so you are free to post what you want, but so am I as I clearly think your intentions are more about individual players or the team.

Sengun isn't Scola. I'm not really sure why you dismiss the playmaking of Sengun.

 

Scola's career high for blocks per game was 0.6.

For rebounds, 8.5.

For points, 18.

Sengun is likely to beat all all of those marks this year. He's a much better rim protector that Scola and his passing is already far superior to Scola's.

I wouldn't triple down on that comparison, personally

 

But he wouldn't be able to be a playmaker for others......

And again, this is a stupid thread meant to denigrate Sengun by proposing we should either build around him or not. It's such a stupid thing to suggest at this point, but you have your reasons.

The point of this thread by you was to propose a scenario in order to denigrate Sengun.

 

Scola was a nice role player, Sengun is a Star. Sengun is being doubled by every team, Scola would never be double teamed.

I’m probably older than you at 65, you are underrating a 20 year old Sengun. Scold was an awful defensive player. They both had great interior moves. Sengun is a better passer, better rebounder, and better shot blocker. He will continue to add muscle and become a much better defensive player. If Sengun had been playing 30+ mins this year with the offense running through him all year he’d be a candidate for the all star game. Once he develops a three and the confidence to shoot it he will be a huge force on the offensive side of the ball. Putting DMO in his category is ridiculous.

 

He can easily be stopped? Posted in the game thread the assistant coaches interview at halftime on what they were going to do to stop Anfernee. They gameplanned to do just that. As much as I love Luifa, nobody gameplanned for him. They gave Sengun the Yao treatment.
Speaking of Luifa I saw this in my timeline yesterday from Manu, just Luifa recounting when he knew it was time to hang it up (seeing Giannis). I, too, often reference that Scola team post big Yao on how a team can be really good defensively without having 'rim protectors'.

He can’t help it. His whole shtick is to move goal posts and spin lies and half truths. When that fails, he calls folks small minded or shortsighted while preaching community unity.
