The defense was the one from 2021 which is the best defense Georgia has had and many believe may be one of the best of all time. Had 5 first round players drafted off that defense. You were the one that brought up Georgia.

Point is, his size didn’t seem to impact his play in the best most physical conference in the country. Had fewer passes knocked down than any other QB in the conference. If you don’t like him that’s your opinion but trying to lay it on his size is silly.

His point is rightly taken. You have no clue if the batch of QBs next year will work out any better than this year plus there is no guarantee the Texans will be at the top of the draft next year

Have no problem with you having your opinion. Just pointing out he has proven, even with his size, he can play with the biggest and baddest. Does that mean he will be a great NFL QB? Of course not just as it doesn’t guarantee he won’t be.

Playing Georgia once isn’t the same as facing the best of the best week in and week out either.

Actually, that he showed out against the BEST defense he played all season says ALOT. Michigan's D is good, but it is not Georgia.

Stop ****ing around with project QBs, stop-gabs, journeymen. Draft Young or Stroud. Last QB the Texans' took in the 1st was a hit (no matter what happened later). It is worth the risk with Stroud or Young. STOP ****ING AROUND.

Stroud is not the same tier as Young.
Stop trying to make that a thing. Stroud sucks.

A QB who thew 85 TDs and 12 INTs in the Big Ten SUCKS? Hmmm. I guess Will Levis is "gutter trash" then.

He actually played Georgia 3 times in 2 years and beat them 2 out of the 3.

I like Young. But that size is a legitimate concern. Minimizing that isn’t right, there’s a very real chance he can’t hold up physically.
There’s also a very real chance he’s an elite guy in the league

You could be correct but again I note he has held up pretty well playing in the SEC. It’s not like his career was in the Ivy League. I have said I hope he doesn’t come here because I think it will limit his ability to be successful.

The concern with Stroud is that he is above average at a bunch of things but doesn’t necessarily have any elite skills. Young’s intangibles are through the roof and Levis has the prototypical size and top tier arm strength.

Will Levis will be 24 when the season starts and has already been coached by NFL offensive coordinators and still makes horrendous decisions. The chance that’s he’s the next Josh Allen is too small to take such a big risk so early in the first round.

It’s not about being the next Josh Allen or Mahomes or Brady…it’s about whether or not the best version of Levis is an elite qb that can elevate the player around him.

As a gambling man, which side would you push your chips to

The physically won't hold up or the being elite side?

Or do you gamble on further building the defense side with those early picks and try to solidify the other side with later picks?

This is the same type of thinking that gets you a Zach Wilson, Jamarcus Russell, etc. Physical upside can not replace all other aspects of playing quarterback.

    .
For every guy you listed, there's an Allen or Mahomes that were raw but turned out to be great.

I'm not the one who's defended their hiring over the last several years or suggested Davis Mills could be a top tier QB. You are in the perpetual "next year" mode that means they never actually have to be good - they can just keep saying they are building for next year. You literally suggested they wait 3 years to get a QB and are dreaming about people who haven't even graduated high school yet. In the 2 years it will take for that mythical QB to be any good, all the draftees from this year's class will have finished their contracts. Perpetual mediocrity.
