Really surprised to see the Marlins give up on Salas so quickly. Teams generally give shiny shortstops more time.

ERA is an awful way of judging pitcher value; even worse is judging a young pitcher by his entire 5 seasons when he has clearly improved. If Urquidy had the trade value López has, he would have already been traded. Lopez had 5.1 fwar over the last 2 seasons, Urquidy has had 2.9.

Now you are probably right in that Framber is more valuable than Lopez. Luis Garcia straight up was probably a better comp; he doesn’t project to be as good as Lopez but his last 2 seasons have been as valuable and he comes with 2 more years of control.

Time to sign Michael Wacha. He will be had on the very cheap.

    11-2 3.32 ERA in 2022

    Great depth signing.

I wasn't meaning to say Urquidy and Lopez had equal trade value. I don't see why Pablo Lopez is projected to be much better than what he has shown is kind of what I was meaning. He doesn't have an elite fastball either. Should be a solid pitcher for awhile though. Is there something in his contact stats that shows much greater upside?

Why would it have to be Framber? It woulda been Garcia, Barber ND someone not even in the top 30?

It feels like you consistently underrate Astros players.

Next up, Hunter Renfroe the equivalent of Kyle Tucker and Kolten Wong the Jose Altuve clone.

There is a "grass is always greener" element. But that isn't too unusual. Neither is spending MVP money for every above average player. But it's fun when a few owners are doing it rather than fans discussing it.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was simply saying dude seems to undervalue Astros plays by comparing Framber to Pablo Lopez and saying they’re equivalent

I know I hate his valuation of Hunter Brown while also realizing he’s more likely to be right than I am.
I think he undervalues Astros a little bit. I think he’s closer to accurate than the 96% of the board that overvalued them.

That’s fair. I was mostly trolling with the comparisons, although I kinda feel like he would say Hunter Renfroe is 90% equivalent to Kyle Tucker smh.

I definitely hate the low ball of Brown. He’s gonna be wrong on that ****

Also, wasn’t he the one propping up Jake Meyer’s like the next Torii Hunter, or that was you??

Okay, Luis Garcia as a comp makes a lot more sense to me

Just adding on to the undervaluing Astros in most of the trade proposals and adding the money proposals overvaluing all the players financially like paying the 35th best WAR like the 3rd best WAR.

Dusty on Seattle game going extra innings without zombie runner after playing regular season with the zombie runner: The way game should be played.

On Yankees: I get tremendous satisfaction beating the Yankees.

Dusty on toughest decision: Leaving LMJ to eat up innings in Game 3 of WS. 2nd, leaving JV in during Game 6.

As much as people are annoyed by Dubon’s presence, he is infinitely more useful to this team than Yuli would be. It’s a little sad but there’s just not a role for Yuli anymore on this team, especially with the emergence of Hensley.
