This guy is in San Francisco so he's probably more woke than these fake woke people on a basketball forum
and he's paying San Francisco rent and commercial rent.

His tax money goes to build shelters, clean up poop, provide needles, provide food, provide safe spaces to do drugs.
You know what it doesn't provide? a solution to homelessness.

I know NONE of the woke here know that city, I posted a video of the Castro businesses threatening not to pay taxes.
That's the wokest place in California, and they DO NOT WANT HOMELESS PEOPLE in front of their businesses.

There are multiple statements from neighboring businesses corroborating his narrative that the homeless woman was harassing passerbys. Also supporting evidence from homeless reachout groups that know this homeless woman and have tried to get her into city services unsuccessfully (likely because she refuses the services). His narrative is the truth.

So after multiple calls to police and other city services, how is he supposed to protect the rights he's entitled to?

Not going to trust a bunch of small business owners on this. I'm sorry. These people care a lot about appearance outside their business on public walkways. They will make up **** and harass the homeless to make their street look clean and tidy.

That old lady was no harm to anyone. Her docileness while being hosed down says more to me than the statements by these people.

That's okay, it's your opinion, which I think is biased towards the littler guy. The supporting evidence from other business owners or neighbors disagree with Gwin spraying her down, so it's not like they're on his side.

The old lady was harming people based off multiple reports and harming the businesses. But **** the man, right? Let's just destroy his reputation, his small business, add on a criminal record. All because the city refused to do anything.

Why would you assume this woman doesn’t have mental problems that would cause her to harass passersby? Anyone who’s lived in a city are familiar with this sort of thing. It’s not just business owners who are affected.

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/19/us/sf-arrest-spray-homeless/index.html

Trena Hamidi, who co-owns a bar next to the gallery, told CNN she was outraged when she saw the video, though she acknowledged Q has caused issues in the past, including screaming obscenities.

“The city needs to take action and do something to give these people support and help that they need, not move them a few blocks away,” Hamidi said. “That’s not the solution.”

I have no reason to think anyone is lying here.

He should not have sprayed water on the lady I know that is an urge but you just can't do it... So now he's in a legal pickle and his store has gotten vandalized last I heard as a result - Business owners need to simply get out- move , relocate , end the business in non business friendly areas

I've seen things like this before and I can agree that it might've been excessive of the business owner to spray her down she is a public nuisance that is causing problems for the neighborhood and other businesses.

This is one where the city needs to step in. As I've said before the longterm answer in homelessness isn't through enforcement but in situations like this where someone is clearly mentally ill and harrassing others action needs to be taken. She should be getting treatment.

Also to point out in the recent years we've seen a spate of attacks many in the Bay Area of mentally ill people on Asians especially elderly Asians. Simply just ignoring that there are many mentally ill people out on the streets is potentially going to lead to much bigger problems.

Apparently he's been there for 40 years. That's a tough ask. Again, I can sympathize with both parties involved.

It’s well known homeless people take dumps on the street and sidewalk in San Francisco
    @AroundTheWorld
I’m standing with this dude , the city won’t help him or her as well.
There’s a woke standard even the woke people can’t meet there. Letting homeless people continue to dominate the city isn’t helping them or the residents. Only in California do dumb people protest to keep homeless camps and then get mad about the crime and litter and poop in the neighborhood

Cities are overwhelmed with this problem as rural areas are exporting their burden onto cities.

You need a national solution to a growing crisis or you risk turning cities back into decay and crime. While this might excite a lot of conservatives, it actually will backfire as liberals will then move out and mess up all your gerrymandering.

I understand his frustration, but what he did was wrong. She wasn’t on his property. What this man did was assault. If the woman is breaking the law, then call the police.

You can’t assault people just because you find them annoying. My neighbor across the street is annoying as hell, but I’m not going to assault them. But, I will call the authorities when they break a city ordinance.

Man in depressed. Like an old lady screaming words ... That is what is enough to do that to an old lady.

Man I'm like really disappointed in humanity.

Small business owners really have extreme entitlement.

Yes. Thank you. They aren't entitled to having clean streets with no homeless people. I'm sure small business owners' voting records and outlook on society collectively in mass cause these situations in the first place.

Truly a bane on out society. Oh mommy and daddy left enough capital for you to start a boutique China shop. You ain't ****ing special.

Nah. There shouldn't be sympathy for that dude.

Ask him his voting record on prop 13. People like him are part of the problem.

Small business owners support the neighborhoods they're in. Because they are often members of the community they are in they are more responsive and caring to the community than large chain stores. They often support community measures such as food banks, school programs, and etc.. I know for a fact that many of the small businesses in my community help homeless people too. Often giving away things like food and tarps to help out homeless.

Besides that though don't businesses have a right to be able to conduct their business and serve customers without harrassment?

Small business owners have a very high entitlement also. You want to wax lyrical about one of our most entitled segments of society go ahead but acknowledge their flaws.

He doesn't own a public sidewalk. A old lady screaming and causing no physical harm being some incessant reminder of growing wealth inequality and social decay doesn't give you a right to hose her down like that.
