Ah yes, Smith and Green miss open shots because of KPJ....even when he's not on the court. Do you realize how dumb you sound right now?

Look, I get it, you want to push a really stupid false narrative and you have basically nothing to go on so you're doing the best you can.....but at some point you might want to stop digging that hole, no one can even see you anymore.

Only absolute scrubs require those kinds of excuses....notice how Sengun still manages to look good, you know, because he's actually good at things.

Why is it everyone else still manage to do better than Green and Smith? Why are seemingly they the only 2 players effected?

Find a better hill to die on.

Rafael Stone's job is to identify talent, and he believes in KPJ, and so do I - we can all disagree, but what you or I think doesn't matter, as long as the head of the Org thinks KPJ is a budding star player (he is) then you can either get on board this train or get laughed off the tracks as he makes a all star appearances in the future.

People who believe in KPJ belief what the Rockets Org believes the rest of you are noisy nancies.....don't let the doorknob hit ya where the good lord split ya!

    ;)

This is the most ridiculous stuff I've ever read. KPJ is trash. Everyone who has ever dealt with him has recognized it. Nobody wants him outside of the worst organization ever

Lmao at KPJ making All-Star appearances. Hopefully he saved his money so he can buy tickets

Stone also believes in Silas. Why don’t you get on board or GTFO?

I don't know. But at least I know his contract is guaranteed.

Yeah I guess we'll find out by the end of the season...

I imagine by then it'll be even harder to push laughable false narratives, so get it out of your system now.

Oh man, my sides. This is hilarious!

The FO certainly believes in him alright! They believed in him so much that they gave him the most team friendly contract a starter can have, full of outs that allow us to cut him after this season without paying a dime. Yup, total belief! Now, if your stance is that we are tanking so FO took a chance to see if KPJ has a chance of evolving beyond pyrite to actual gold, then sure. We took a chance, it clearly is not working out.

Off the top of my head, here are some of the guards that are either locks currently for All-Stars or projected to make it in the next few years. There are 24 spots total before we even talk about forwards and centers. Realistically speaking, who does KPJ even begin to hope to supplant going forward?
    • Luka Doncic
    • Stephen Curry
    • James Harden
    • Damian Lillard
    • Andrew Wiggins
    • Devin Booker
    • Paul George
    • Chris Paul
    • Anthony Edwards
    • Ja Morant
    • Darius Garland
    • Kyrie Irving
    • LaMelo Ball
    • Trae Young
    • Zach LaVine
    • Donovan Mitchell
    • Jamal Murray
    • Fred VanVleet
    • Scottie Barnes
    • Tyrese Haliburton
    • Jalen Brunson
    • Klay Thompson
    Short answer, none of them.

How do you think he will handle it whenever he is given less of a role given his history?

If that happens, and it might, I think it will be fine, as long as it is explained and for the good of the team.

It is not like he is going out there shooting 25 shots a game right now, he is trying to learn a new position and get others involved and is doing a pretty good job at that.

Probably 1 too many turnovers but if his teammates could hit the broadside of a barn he would easily be over 8 assists a game.

We already did the math on this homeboy. No he wouldn't. If the Rockets were nearly perfect from potential assists, then he would average 8 assists but no of has their teammates making almost all their potential assists, even the Warriors.

Ya there is a world where with KPJ's potential assists he would average 8 and that's if everyone he passes it to hits at a near 90% clip from his passes.

I think he'd welcome it because it would boost his numbers. The question is, how will Green handle it when they eventually realize he needs to come off the bench given how much he's been given without ever having to earn it?

Really show me the total number of potential assists he has....and what percentage did they need to hit of those to get up to 8? Is 7 in the wheelhouse?

I do not see him as the PG for the long term. If they ended up with Scoot then will likely end up as 6th man or if Green is declared a bust by the team then he could end up as the 2 guard. If he becomes 6th man he could play the way he does currently with the 2nd unit which I believe would be his best role or if becomes the #1 2 guard then he would be the tertiary playmaker behind Sengun and Scoot. He would become more of a spot up shooter as well as a pick and roll option. If he can handle not being the "Head Honcho" then he will have a future on the team if not then so long.

If he is the SG, he is better than Jalen, and would probably be more of a head honcho.....and score a lot more points, oh the whining around here if that happens would sound like whales humping......lol

That could very well happen with Green. It is way too early to tell. If it did then I would have no issues with KPJ being the #1 shooting guard if he has a good attitude. If Green does pan ou then he would likely be 6th man.

I just don't think they'll be able to move KPJ out of that spot with the current roster though. I think they'll try to pivot to having Sengun and KPJ try to share the ball handling responsibilities instead of KPJ and Green, that could end up a lot better, but I still think they need another competent guard that this team just doesn't have.
