I'm not following you what this has to do with the LGBTQ issue and whether Democrats are or not pushing those issues.

I agree though that the Democracy issue was far more potent than many, including myself, expected.

Is he talking about mid terms? Because the Supreme Court gifted the Democrats not being annihilated in the mid terms with a red wave.

2020? I think the Democrats could have campaigned around criminally prosecuting people who use ranch for French fries and still won. Trump was that toxic.

The thing you don't understand is you can't build a national coalition based upon Medicare for all. You have to do what biden did. Have a broad coalition for normie **** (democracy, freedom pro America) and then pass bold items when you have the numbers. Bernie bros do the polar opposite where they claim a unfavorable culture war position (open borders defund military) and then wonder why voters don't vote for them when they agree on their minimum wage stance.

Democrats lose the popular vote in the 2022 midterms but won the election because they brought over Republicans to vote for dems. They did that by pitching democracy. Bidens closing message before midterms was, "you might not like me and that's okay but my opponents are crazy.

    It worked. Take lessons Bernie.

The Supreme Court was not the reason why EVERY single election denying SoS lost their race. EVERY SINGLE ONE ran behind their governor in every state.

Democracy was the biggest thing on the ballot. Look at Nevada and Arizona how their sOS ran way ahead.

I thought it's people like Biden and Pelosi that delve more into the culture wars

Also save this energy when Biden talks about semi-automatic rifles bans.

Biden didn't run on any culture wars. Biden entire campaign was restore the soul of the nation and it worked. I don't think you realize how powerful a presidential incumbent is. Folks hate change and its always going be tough to knock off a incumbent.

Biden was the only one on the debate stage that beats trump. Pete/beto/Warren get clobbered. Bernie *MIGHT* have won with MI/WI/PA but he never wins AZ/GA which means no dem senate.

Biden was the only one that could've won the senate. This isn't debatable

I mean in all honesty I also believe Bernie would never win a national election. I just have issues with just dismissing entire ideological wings of our nation.

We need a group of people advocating for healthcare. Healthy democracies around the globe have multiple parties that advocate for specific things. Only in this country we basically scoff at the idea of anything like that existing. A group of voters who concentrate on affordable healthcare?!? How dare they not just step in line and care about the exact same issues as the leading coalition!

Lets give bernie the 2020 election by winning PA/MI/WI. He gets 270 and beats trump. He still looses AZ/GA which means GOP has 53 senators. Which means bernie gets NO stimulus passed, no judges confirmed, no political appointees through, and he would be dealing with a worst judicial system. (Biden has confirmed 94 liberal federal judges) The progressives would've been so pissed at the establishment they would've broken off and we would be having a massive democratic civil war right now.

When I talk to bernie bros in real life their so brainwashed and have no idea how much of a disaster we saved in 2020 by getting Biden. Biden literally saved the democratic party and democracy in this nation.

The only reason Biden is POTUS is because of African American voters. This country is forever indebted to African Americans for saving democracy. If Trump was president today ukraine would be gone. Fact

You call them brainwashed but literally just spoke right past me as if didn't type anything.

Now try again. Address what I typed.

Everyone will be affected one way or another. I have never taken Amtrak and probably never will. I am one of the millions of taxpayers getting stuck with the bill though. Thanks, Dems.

I did Amtrack and would love to take an extended trip on Amtrack, but it is way more than airfare. It is crazy expensive these days.

The same infrastructure bill also is helping expand terminal d at IAH, and is helping to add numerous new metro lines in Houston. The bill literally repairs over 45000 bridges around the nation. It also allocates millions to every single port in America for expansion...

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/bu...-receives-18-3M-federal-grant-to-16726452.php

I guess you never use anything imported in Houston right??? Why are you MAGA folks so utterly horrible at debating facts?

The ceo said they'll be dropping the prices once the federal money comes in.. the prices are high because the company had had to balance a budget and covid destroyed ridership and they had billions in maintenance.

This is the most funding they'll ever receive in history combined.

The bill fixes every bridge in America while also providing internet to every household. Most MAGA who live in the country don't even have broadband internet. Over 30 million folks have no access to internet today and their mostly REPUBLICANS AND MAGA who live in the country...

Also if you make less than 36k a year you now qualify for free internet which alot of hillbillies will qualify now. Now they can watch their NEWSMAX and foxnews and be more crazy. Double edged sword I guess

I'm not MAGA, but no, not generally.
Shouldn't the riders pay for it, instead of the taxpayers?
Why are we providing public internet? People can pay for internet (or not).

68 Days of Silence: Why the White House Stayed Mum on Classified Documents
Advisers to President Biden calculated that the Justice Department would view possession of the documents as little more than a good-faith mistake.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/20/us/politics/biden-classified-documents.html

    excerpt;

The decision by President Biden and his top advisers to keep the discovery of classified documents secret from the public and even most of the White House staff for 68 days was driven by what turned out to be a futile hope that the incident could be quietly disposed of without broader implications for Mr. Biden or his presidency.

The handful of advisers who were aware of the initial discovery on Nov. 2 — six days before the midterm elections — gambled that without going public, they could convince the Justice Department that the matter was little more than a minor, good-faith mistake, unlike former President Donald J. Trump’s hoarding of documents at his Florida estate.

In fact, the Biden strategy was profoundly influenced by the Trump case, in which the former president refused to turn over all the classified documents he had taken, even after being subpoenaed. The goal for the Biden team, according to people familiar with the internal deliberations who spoke on condition of anonymity, was to win the trust of Justice Department investigators and demonstrate that the president and his team were cooperating fully. In other words, they would head off any serious legal repercussions by doing exactly the opposite of what the Biden lawyers had seen the Trump legal team do.

In the short term, at least, the bet seems to have backfired. Mr. Biden’s silence while cooperating with investigators did not forestall the appointment of a special counsel, as his aides had hoped, but still resulted in a public uproar once it became clear that the White House had hidden the situation from the public for more than two months. Mr. Biden’s advisers still hope that the trust they believe they have engendered with investigators by not litigating the matter in public may yet pay off in the long run, by convincing the special counsel that nothing nefarious took place.

In the meantime, though, the strategy has left Mr. Biden open to withering criticism for concealing the discovery for so long. And now, after a productive year that had seemed to leave the president in a strong position to announce a re-election campaign, the handling of the documents case has eroded his capacity to claim the high road against Mr. Trump, while also raising questions about his team’s ability to navigate Republican attacks from Capitol Hill.

There are a lot of sections of interstate that I will likely never drive yet I'm stuck with paying the bills for them too.
