In my experience, aging isn't a steady slope but a sort of punctuated equilibrium in which your body hits inflection points when you seem to suddenly age in a short span of time. Somewhere in your 30s is a big one. I'm sure the stress is a factor, but 40 looks a hell of a lot older than 30 anyway.
Presidents rapidly age during their 4-8 years (if they try lol). Making those kind of decisions will ultimately add stress, especially unpopular no-win scenarios that are mostly settled decades after one makes them.

I was in NZ before the tyrant took over. Back in those days, you could travel around the country freely, say whatever you wanted, belong to any political party, never fear being thrown in jail even if you drank a lot and made a scene. Those were the golden days before she turned the place into a mass prison and forced the morality police on people. How many people did she imprison and execute? How many NZers "disappeared". Kiwis no longer have to live in fear of their lives. No more murdering of political opponents or dissidents. No more lashings. No more repression of women. No more imprisoning and starving people for insulting their leader. No more stealing the organs of the Maori. No more censoring of criticism on social media. NZ is free again.
Well I said when I got to Auckland I had to spend my days hiding out eating locally sourced lamb and then nights drinking in back alley pubs to avoid Jacinda's jackbooted thugs. In Tongariro National Park and Craters of the Moon they forced me to stay on the trail. They claimed it was for my own safety but I know it was commie plot to limit my freedom of movement so that the only story I heard was their propaganda on the trail info signs. They force fed me such woke fiction as that New Zealand broke away from a super continent millions of years ago rather than the TRUTH that the Earth is only 6,000 years old .
Met her in person. While I disagree with her politics, I have to say she is intelligent and, dare I say, somewhat charming in person.
