A little harsh. Still a rookie whose effort level has been better than others

KPJ is not a starting caliber SF in this league. He'd be even worse on defense if that's even possible. I understand the Org would want to move him there, but his true calling is that of a 6th man. Tbh if the org is deadset on testing him out at the 3 then let's do that sooner rather than later. TyTy can run the point the final 20 something games and we can trot KPJ out there at the 3 and then everyone can realize what most already know.

It's harsh, but accurate. I appreciate the effort, but it's hard to overstate how bad Jabari has been on offense. He's like the opposite of Jalen Green, decent on defense, a dumpster fire on offense.

    LOL.

I almost thought for a second you were being serious.

Okay, I'll play along. If he's not an NBA caliber SF, just put him at the SG, he's by far the best guard on the roster after all. Just let Jalen realize his true calling as a 6th or 7th man and let the team benefit from it.

If we do this experiment, I want an experienced pg first traded to start a long that experiment line up if we ever do it. TyTy might have some promise but I don't think having 3 guys under 23 as our wings and guards is going to generate organized basketball.

Lol kpj fanbois backtracking now about the sht kpj pg experiment. Most of us been saying for the past few months.

    Man has scoring talent, but
Kpj fking blows at pg. He lacks court vision, has tunnel vision and can't pass for jack sht. He freezes out the hot players
He hinders the development of the other youngsters and is being played in the wrong position. He should b moved to the bench or off pg.

They get triggered call folks haters and then lash out at green.

They make excuses how kpj is being develop into a combo guard, positionless basketball and how he has the best handle. How everybody else sucks. Etc etc

Kpj fanbois just needs to accept that kpj sucks at pg, not everybody can b like harden.

The thought was that he'd be part of a combo guard tandem, not that he was ever going to be a traditional PG.....well, that failed because there's no other quality guards on the team to help run that with him. So since the experiment failed, just move him back to SG as soon as the team gets a competent PG.

As of right now though, the team doesn't really have any options. Maybe they try to run things through Sengun more and that takes the pressure off KPJ, but we'll see. I think ultimately we all want the Rockets to draft a PG so KPJ can move to the SG spot and Jalen can move to the bench.

Heading into the lottery, we wanted the first pick so we could take Cade. Him and KPJ would’ve been a great backcourt. Unfortunately things didn’t work out that way and we took Jalen and had to experiment with KPJ at PG.

True, and in fairness, he hasn't done poorly really. It's just that in a perfect world, he doesn't have to do it all himself so that his excellent catch and shoot 3 point shooting can be better taken advantage of.

If the Rockets go forward keeping KPJ at the 1 it wouldn't be a bad thing....they just need to get rid of the dead weight and pick up some quality players to help out KPJ and Sengun.

Funny how they are not as patient with other younger players as they are KPJ

Biggest problem that everyone just glances over is that this is a team comprised of snot nosed punks. All of them. One guy has way more professional experience than the others and it shows and we use him as everyone else says we should while the b*stard son of Satan nurses his injury and it was supposed to lead to wins because of the generational talent, but then we still lose! So whats the logical conclusion? KEEP BLAMING THE GUY NOT PLAYING or whatever else makes this crap season more palatable and keep prancing around on rainbows and unicorns about how if X player is moved and new coach and yada yada yada we are in the playoffs!

    Coping Mechanism 101.

We drafted a second pick in Jalen green and forced him to play alongside a guy who is learning how to b a pg which supririse surprise hinders green development. But let's punish green by sending him to the bench.

Pffffft. Making sht up to make the kpj pg experiment look less sht. We wasted like what feels like 2.5 season trying to make kpj into the next harden/luka by letting him b the primary ball distributor/pg. U and other kpj fanboi spent the past few months defending and shtting on others that were unhappy with this futile experiment.

Look how the stance change that instead of acknowledge that kpj pg experiment was hindering others like green we should now pivot into letting kpj go back to his natural position and punish green for playing alongside a sht pg. Or trade green for a pg to allow kpj to ease into his natural position.

Da kpj fanbois were also resistant about letting sengun b the primary offensive hub also calling folks fanboi just to realize that sengun is clearly the better playmaker/passer.

The franchise could have drafted a pg in eason/sengun position but didn't bc they thought kpj could do it.

It is the truth, none of our players have earned their place, they were all given it, including KPJ.....

We drafted a quick, raw player with no skills #2 in the draft and we set everything up for him to do well and he's been terrible.

You blame that on others.....because of course you do, but KPJ didn't make Jalen Green the worst defender in the league. KPJ didn't make Jalen Green constantly miss open shots. KPJ didn't force Jalen Green to have no bag.

We move him to the bench because he's terrible at basketball and it hurts the team to have him start. If he happens to be hot, he can come off the bench and give the team a boost just like Lou Williams would do. When he's not hot, he's not chucking 20 shots a game and being a turnstile on defense all game ensuring the Rockets lose.

The reason KPJ as a combo guard "failed" was because the idea was him sharing responsibilities with Green, who is outright terrible. KPJ is a solid enough PG to where it would probably still be fine if they got Green off the court and replaced him with someone who can make their open shots and won't go full chucker.

There would be nothing wrong with KPJ remaining the team's PG, but I think it would be better if they got another PG so that KPJ could be a secondary playmaker and make use of his amazing catch and shoot 3 point ability. You can't get that if he's the only competent ball handler on the court. We'll see if they can make it work between him and Sengun, but IMO I think the best scenario is brining in another competent guard so they can get Jalen off the court entirely.

Once again green gets punished for being put in a sht situation.

We don't know how well green will perform alongside an actual pg. Kpj is not a pg, he's learning it, still is.

Setting green up for success is starting him alongside a competent pg who spoonfeed him buckets and have an offense built around him. Instead green started his career deferring to the likes of wood (poor attitude/refusal to play defense) and kpj (past behavior issues and learning pg). In his second year the offense now became the kpj show where he's forced to b the primary playmaker when he's lacking/unqualified for it.

If to this point u finally think we should draft or get a pg to make kpj a secondary playmaker, it's basically an acknowledgement that kpj blows as the primary playmaker and playing kpj in the wrong position is a detriment to green's development and the other youngsters (aside from sengun) all along.

No, it's Green getting "punished" for his own terrible performance and forced to earn his playing time....something you are for whatever reason worried about.

Those are the kinds of excuses you make for absolute garbage players, not the excuses legitimate "budding superstars" require. If he was playing well, but the team was being dragged down by others, it would show....what is happening is the EXACT opposite of that. The team is being dragged down by the poor performances of Green and Smith.

Your guy has ALWAYS had the highest usage and has ALWAYS took the most shots on the team. The Rockets have done everything in the world to push him, but he's just not any good. The only thing pushing Green has done is cause tanking.

Also, it's not that KPJ is a bad primary ball handler, it's that he's better as a secondary ball handler due to how good he is off-ball. The idea was that Green could be that other guard, but he simply lacks the skills so it's time to move on. KPJ hasn't harmed Green's development by constantly providing him with open shots to miss, Green just hasn't been any good and now it's obvious.

He'll have the random streaky games....just like Lou Williams or Gerald Green, but he's not someone you can count on or build around. He's a role player best brought off the bench for short bursts.

I'm amazed that this is 221 pages and you have the same exact 2-3 people having the same conversation and saying the same thing over and over and over, on pretty much every page

Smith and Green look like garbage bc they have been playing alongside kpj who was unqualified for the playmaking job in the first place. It's quite unfair to gauge their actual skill level when kpj isn't good at his job which is to distribute the dam ball and control the offense.

Could green and smith b trash playing alongside an actual pg sure, but the refusal to believe/acknowledge that playing kpj in the wrong position that he was clearly unqualified for doesn't have any negative effects/hinder our youngsters developmental process is insane.

KPj isn't a primary playmaker and lacks the ability to b a good one. He doesn't make his team better. But it's easier to say everybody else sucks and he ain't the issue. Mental gymnastics.

Stone must really b sucking at his job. He has the hindsight to draft sengun but apparently drafting smith/Green (two awful players according to u) was him not doing due diligence. /s
