He looks worse with each game. At this point he's a black hole on offense, horrible and lazy on defense, and provides no obvious vet leadership on the court and still keeps getting starter minutes. Sit him until the trade deadline and take what you can get for him. Cut him if you don't anything.
We need to bench him ASAP. The coaches have to live with what the kids have learned so far from them and Gordon. They're using Eric as a crutch and even that's not working seeing as he's stabbing his teammates in the back to the media, not playing defense and not passing the ball. What kind of mentor is that? He's not that type. Get him out of here. I don't believe for one second that we were offered a decent first round pick for him, and to be honest I would trade him for an expiring contract and a meaningless second rounder at this point.
If he can't be traded he should be bought out the day after the trade deadline. He should go to the bench now.
I said at the start of the season, EG should never play another minute in a Rockets uniform. Bench him until he's traded and if that doesn't happen, cut his ass and be done with it.
So because of some inability or insecurity in Silas, Gordon is not going anywhere. He's basically treating him as another coach, who may just be inserting himself into the lineup each night. So, by my calculation, the pecking order in the Rockets coaching hierarchy is: Stone Harden Gordon Silas Can we get this clown out of here, please?
It makes all the lies about how they have offers that would get first round picks for him that much more annoying. If they actually had offers like that, they would have pulled the trigger years ago. Just get the unlikely to convey 2nd round pick for him and get him the hell off the team.
At this point, they should just extend him. They've already messed up by holding onto him and turning down numerous offers including 1st round picks which has been confirmed by a number of folks including clutch. So just extend him and continue to show how horrible this FO is. the clown show continues
