    The most important thing is probably Payton not going to Indy. Texans may as well fold up shop for the next several years if that happens.

    This is clearly the ideal situation for him.

    They will prolly give him a 10 year, $100 milly deal with complete carte blanche without blinking.

    Texans need to sell DeMeco on the job hard as they can.

    And find a way to trade for Lance in that process also.

    Give the 49ers Clevelands 2024 1st for Lance…or somethin like that.

    Knew this was gonna happen.

    Cowherd is doing the “no thanks” work for Payton thru the media.

    If it’s not true and Payton ends up wanting the Texans job, great…but having a choice between Denver ownership and Houston ownership…ummm….that is a NO BRAINER!

    This is completely consistent with what I’ve heard from people around town, which is that Cal was really just disinterested in the organization and not too into things. They are clearly discussing Houston in this clip.
