well people are free to call him a sengunatic but you gotta love it that he stated right from the start sengun can be(come) a better passer/player than jokic...its nice to see people not thinking inside the box, worshipping the past or bb greats and being open minded

He needs to replace that ad with a SenHub t-shirt ad.

Wow. Fwiw I don’t think he will be better than Jokic. But he will be better than Sabonis who is the best player on top 4 team in the west right now, leading one of the top offenses in the league. Kings have their issues on defense, Sabonis is a much weaker shot blocker than Sengun even today, and they also haven’t complimented Sabonis with a weak side shot blocker at PF which is what this archetype needs.

People since the draft have complained that Sengun’s archetype is not conducive to winning in the playoffs. That’s yet to be proven one way or another but this archetype is leading a top 4 team in the West at the moment. Meanwhile, Bradley Beal and Zach Lavine who are Jalen Green’s archetypes are leading their respective teams to the lottery year after year, and the same complainers had zero issues drafting him #2. The hypocrisy is delicious.

He is different in that he is more athletic and quicker than slow footed Joker.

Joker can throw better long range passes like a quarterback and he shoots the ball at least 37% from 3.

I wish Jokic wins one but man his non athleticism or slow speed doesn't help him.

At 20 years old jokic shot the 3 at 33% on 1 attempt a game. The low volume means it was not relevant to his game at all. Sengun if allowed could easily develop that.

The biggest difference is size. Even if he’s slow footed, just by being big Jokic can be a better deterrent at the rim, and doesn’t need as much limits in team building. With Sengun you really have to construct your team a certain way to compliment his weaknesses. With that said, we are seeing what a team can become even if you DON’T compliment his weakness in the Kings, top 4 team. That may not be championship worthy, but way more than one could hope for as the worst team in the league 3 years running.

I am not a fan of heliocentrism but of the dynamic duo or trio.

Also when it comes to passing I have watched all three of them, Sengun can make every pass that Sabonis makes. Not the case with Jokic, at his size and vision he gets passes through by being able to see and throw the pass over the defense. Sengun’s size limitation won’t let him do that. I’m way less concerned about Sengun’s size today than at the draft though, he sees eye to eye with Sabonis in the Kings matchup and is the same height as Jabari. So 6’10 or 6’11 is fair, not the 6’9 that the video (and predraft) claims.
