Yeah it would be simpler. I guess I just really wanna make a splash this year with a new coach/qb combo likely coming in and there's usually great value at the top of the 4th rd so I "kicked the can" a bit. lol Your route would be simpler and our debt would be gone so I'm okay with that too. Main point was that is my upper limit in draft value I would give up. Taking into consideration draft value depreciation (1 year = 1 round) my proposal ( 2nd, 6th, 24-4th) would be worth a hair under pick #29 and yours (2nd, 4th) would be worth just over pick #28. Either is acceptable to me. Any of the other trades is just too much for me. What worries me is that Caserio in his deals/trades seems to fluctuate between fair exchange - horrid overpay (kinda like the anti Danny Ainge).
??? Not sure about your meaning but I didn't really compare my trade to anything other than the #12 which is almost TWICE the draft value oy my proposal.
What’s funny is, and I’m not saying it wouldn’t hurt, but yes… I would trade those guys.. JJ watt didn’t bring a Super Bowl to any team he played on, Donald needed Matt Stafford.. anyone who says Donald is more valuable to that Rams team than McVay is just starstruck. Brady is the only player that I would say supercedes a coach.. another example: how many of you have been saying if sauce Gardner was on this team in Tampa 2 he would have had the same season? how many of you said if you switched Watson and Mahomes, the Texans and chiefs would have had the same trajectories.. Coach is the most important. Does it suck that we have to use assets instead of just money? Yes. But is a good coach worth a first round pick asset? Also yes.
I feel like the 49er defense is just flat out good. Look at Saleh. Yea his defense is good, but Zach Wilson and the offense is trash.. I don’t want Demeco. I want the coach that can build the best staff opposite him. Give me Payton or Gannon.
I don't think it's worth it to trade the 12th pick in the draft for Sean Payton, but I can certainly see Cal doing it. From several reports Cal is just looking for someone to put in charge to run everything so he doesn't have to make any decisions. Hiring Payton would allow Cal to go off into hiding for the next 5 years.
I don't need to. I made a few reactionary posts to someone I didn't watch play in college. People get draft picks wrong all the time. This is completely different to observing years of BoB and still making a thread believing that he knows what he's doing. There has never been a worse take on this forum, and that belongs to you.
LOL, I actually remember this tweet. Gave me false hope and made the Lovie hire sting even more. This is exactly why I hate twitter. Only tweets I'm paying attention to are the ones that say who the guys we are actually interviewing are. Any tweet that contains the phrase "word around the league is..." is a tweet that I'm ignoring.
Who is tho? Chargers sticking with Staley, Cowboys probably sticking with McCarthy.. Texans Broncos Cards Panthers Colts who of them is win now? Cards? Dhop wants out, watt gone, Murray coming off ACL broncos? Maybe, but if you can’t turn that current roster around you’re in trouble cuz they have no 1st rd picks til 2025. panthers? Don’t see how they are better off than Texans colts? Probably the closest. Feels like Texans are actually more enticing than you may think.
Didn’t the Seahawks get 2 for Wilson? Or did one of those already happen? If so, my bad, and one niners pick along with 1 next year vs 2 in the top 12 this year and 2 in the first round next year is a lot different.
