Mason Plumlee is their center, he's more of a big bruiser type.... but the Hornets go small a lot which would put him on a smaller, athletic PF

You're expecting too much of the posters here. Some barely keep up with watching the Rockets, much less other bad teams.

    Mason Plumlee is their starter.
Nick Richards / Mark Williams are platooning as the backup.

All three bigger than Sengun, but by no means an overwhelming rotation to face.

Plumlee's a passable but not dominant defender. Maybe a little too slow. Sengun could certainly have opporunities one-on-one.

The Hornets' best defenders against Sengun will be KPJ (if back) and Stephen Silas. Plus, the refs.

Nobody else on the Hornets can really stop Sengun.

They’ll probably throw PJ Wash. They tend to have PJ guarding athletic power forwards. PJ guarded Al Horford yesterday

Thanks but that don't say much about their playing style

He's 6'11, Plumlee only played in one game vs the Rockets last year. Sengun played 20 minutes and was kind of terrible, but he was a rookie.

The Hornets are going to run behind LaMelo and if KPJ and Green don't get back on D, we will get blown out in a track meet.

It's very hit or miss who Sengun struggles with. He tend to not do as well against bigger longer and stronger centers who can throw their weight around. I do find when Sengun doesn't get fouls called, he starts to play worse mentally.

You purposely allow KPJ to drive to the lane once or twice, free buckets. Get him thinking about scoring that they completely forget to give the ball to Sengun. That's how I would defend. I rather, as an opposing coach, have them playing teen wolf ball than sharing for 26+ assists.

Not a bad strat, but that is why you need a coach that can recognize that and fix it...on the fly.
