    Apologies.

    Yes, everytime I heard:
    1) this past summer, many high ranking officials in Rockets brass don't feel KPj
Is worthy of an extension greater than that qualifying offer around $9M.

    2) recently hearing rumor many Rockets officials question whether KPj
    can be a PG.

With both of those reports I hear, those involved in drafting Sengun are
leaning towards making Sengun the focal point of the offense.

The SOF's are creating threads here and probably every Rockets forum every 5 minutes
in an attempt to push the issue of either 1) canning KPj 2) Fire Silas 3) TF firing Stone/Silas.

Sometimes the constant drip on these forums and sports call in shows can take a toll.

Similarly, reports came out last year that Silas should be fired.......Silas then moved
Theis out of the starting lineup. Saved his job at the time.

[ I've noted how Wood shot around 38% from 3 in first 9 games of season and
then near 22% in the next 9 games to get Theis booted out. Same time reports
came out.....Wood then shot above 40% thereafter the removal of Theis ]

Lin fans were trying to get Harden diminished, but Harden had his fans to counter that.
Sengun fans are actively trying to get KPj, Silas, Stone, Jalen Green, Jabari taken out.
The first 3 (KPj, Silas, Stone) do not have much counter to the avalanche.

So I don't think it's completely out of the realm of possibility to say, SOF's can't influence
things or matters..... especially if agents of change are already planted in the FO.
    Just my opinion.

Trade asengun and keep KPJ? At least KPJ's fans are consistent with their stupidity. I'd say KPJ has the worst fans ever but there's only 6 of them

And those 6 include some notorious posters like BTG, jiggyfly, and DD. Just can’t take them seriously.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.....and you whiny little A- ****'s are squeaky
    beyond belief.

Annoying beyond belief. Needing diaper changes every 5 seconds
    type annoying.

My guess is Patrick Fertitta is guard centric minded.

Not sure where Michael Fertitta stands.
    or
    Gretchen S
    or
    Eli Witus

    but I feel
Carrol Dawson and Ed Pinckney are old school and easily influenced

Agree with this. KPJ will be a player in this league but it will probably be in his late 20's.

Make that 7, you forgot one. Lol

I'm a ROF, Rockets only fan. But seriously, I can make a case that KPJ is our best and most consistent player. However to me, best player on this team really doesn't matter, because the team is the worst in the NBA.

Just a thought but I think the Rockets see what is going on with the team and at some point, it's going to come to a head.

Sengun's style of play is similar to Sabonis and Jokic but will that style win in the Long Term, in the Playoffs without a defensive presence in the paint?

Indiana traded Sabonis and now they are flourishing and now they have an identity. So my question to you is do you trade Sengun for the betterment of the Rockets?

Funny but not really addressing the question. Personally, I think Sabonis is a better player than Sengun and has always been since he came into the league. His numbers are better, he gets into less foul trouble and he's a better post presence.

But as I said, Sabonis, like Sengun and Jokic doesn't offer anything on the defensive end. So can you really win a Championship with this type of player?

I think Indiana finally came to that conclusion and decided to go in a different direction.

Actually, you just answered the question yourself.

I quite like Sabonis, a lot, but this is what he was doing at Alpi's age.

I absolutely would trade him for that reason. You would also get a great return like the pacers did. Sengun is a beast, but I don’t believe we’ll have long term success with him as our 5. Sometimes you gotta deal good players to reach your goals. I know this is gonna piss people off, but it’s my opinion.

From what I can see, there are no "KPJ fans" just some Rockets fans who don't buy into the false narratives pushed by player first or player only fans.

Objectively KPJ is a top 2 player on the Rockets. It's not his fault Jalen Green and Jabari Smith can't shoot and aren't living up to their draft slots.

Wasn't that the year that he was a rookie playing with Russell Westbrook in his triple double years? It's amazing Sabonis scored that much or even got any PT at all playing third string and with a ball hog in Russ.

Sabonis is one of the best bigs in the league, and the best player on a team that nobody will want to play in the play in or first round. If Sengun is going to be as good as Sabonis sooner rather than later (meaning while he's still on the Rockets) than that'll be a cause for celebration. Sabonis is pretty freaking good. Offensively the gifts are there. Just needs some offseason work on his body as I've said in the other thread that offended you. He's not athletic enough to be as versatile of a defender as needed... hopefully they have some patience, and he has a good offseason.

He is plenty athletic enough, but that doesn't mean he can't and won't improve in that area even more.

I agree that he would benefit from having the best nutritionists and athletic trainers.

    No Whataburger for Mr. Bobblehead!

KPJ and Sengun sharing the load is a much better team than not.

Not if KPJ continues to think he is the head honcho.

Someone with KPJ's catch-and-shoot skills who doesn't hog possession of the ball as much as KPJ does and who doesn't pout, throw the ball away, ignore teammates in better position and who doesn't throw food would be a good fit as a complementary piece to Sengun.

KPJ won't be that guy, unless he truly changes his ways.

Shocking take by the Sengun fan.

Only through repentance and acceptance of Sengun as his personal lord and savior can KPJ be redeemed.

Pretty much on brand for you guys.

Sacramento’s improvement since the arrival of Sabonis is better than Indiana’s without him.
