High IQ and great foot work are traits of a good defensive player, atleast Sengun can develop into a good defensive player with time and more minutes. This whole "but but his defense" is a really bad excuse to rely on when hating Sengun because its going to be very short lived...
Sengun is the best player of his draft class, and it's not close. He would have been Rookie of the Year, had he gotten the minutes and touches.
Yeah I think so too, and he is just barely getting started.... Dude is going to be scary in a year or two.
Alpi's numbers are quite close to Jokic's, for his first two seasons (and Alpi was a year younger when he came to the NBA). This is around the time when Denver made the call to make Jokic their franchise player. It's that time for the Rockets now. We have other great pieces, but there needs to be a clear pecking order.
Silas and the whole Rockets org need to establish they are building around Sengun, its better for KPJ and Green to know now than for them to continue chucking thinking they will be head honcho of the team. Either way both Green and KPJ can improve their game relying on Sengun. This will be the best thing that could happen for their careers.
You guys are getting excited over a game in which Alpi played a very good game against two guys in Gabriel and Bryant who are fringe NBA Players. Alpi should've played well. I would've been disappointed if he had not. You all need to ask yourselves, where have this numbers been before? I'm a Rocket's fan, not an individual player fan, however I know we need to find solace in something with the team playing this poorly but let's take it for what it is, Alpi had a good game against subpar competition.
If you are a Rockets fan you should be a Sengun fan because that's the only thing going for us right now. I don't care who the competition was, its not like any of our other players haven't played subpar competition. They have and still sucked...
