Well currently U have garuba, a better defender, solid rebounder, smart passer, but the opposite of sengun (weak offense). Normally I would say garuba should b the starting center if he had harden spoon feeding him buckets. Sadly we have kpj so 4 v 5 on offense ain't feasible. And u have Fernando, "lob threat". Sengun is a weak defender, but I think his offensive potential warrants him playing time. I think he has a solid grasp of the fundamentals to learn how to b a better defender.
Give it a try, I believe he is attempting a fair assessment, and as a matter of fact, he talks about the short leash Sengun currently has. I do enjoy your debate, but when basketball talk comes in and someone leaves, you start to wonder if they really want to talk about the game.
Thanks for the article. Mostly fair points and I think these are exactly he should have all the freedom in the world and make all the mistakes, try different things in offense and defense. As many posters have been saying, if his shortcomings were to justify his short leash and playing time, sitting on the 4th quarters then we would have a lot of players that fit in that category.
Not just a lot of them, literally every one of them. You could write this same article for every player that's played significant minutes this year. Every single player on our roster is deeply flawed and it would be easy to come up with good reasons to keep them on a short leash, or out of the game. There isn't one player on this roster who doesn't hurt us with massive deficiencies.
still its only when alpi was benched that we lost the game last night...it didnt hurt us that any other players were not playing
I do think that, yes. He was MVP in one of the world's best leagues at age 18. And given minutes, he produces. He will only get better.
Jabrickroni looks like a clear bust. At most, he will become a role player starter. Jalen Green (righyfully called by his haters on draft day) is Zach Lavine in the absolute best case. KPJ is pretty good for a player we got for free, but this team isn't going anywhere with him playing PG. He is at best a bench leader, 6th man type of player. Sengun while our best prospect is likely not a franchise player. Sad times to be a Rockets fan. Hope we can get a good franchise player this year. Scoot or Wemby or bust really.
