He was a WR coach that no one ever considered as a head coach or even a coordinator. Did it really go worse than anyone anticipated? It seems to me it went exactly as expected. You after Culley was hired - even you thought he was an easy guy to fire and that Bieniemy (as an example) really wanted the job. This is why you thought Lovie was hired: (you were correct!)
I think he showed what Carolina showed before and after him - that Carolina had no QB and no particular offensive talent outside of McCaffery. It's not like their offense was any better before or after Joe Brady.
Which is exactly why you need a coach with a vision. That 12th pick by himself will not turn this franchise around, either.
The Texans should be more creative if they're going to give away picks. Next year's Browns Pick and a 3rd or 4th this year would be better than giving them the 12th this year.
Please don’t give up draft picks for Payton. It’s not like there is only one coach in the entire world that is good enough to coach the Texans. I like Payton, but the Texans can’t afford to give up picks.
No coach is worth a first round pick. I hope we aren't this dumb. Even bellicheck sucks without Brady.
Offer 2nd one in the 2nd round. Team needs leadership so the good picks can actually be set up to be great players.
No thanks. I wouldn't give any picks for a coach ever. What was Payton without Brees? Pretty trash. He ain't fixing our problem.
