Gerald Green would have 8 turnovers a game with the amount Green dribbles the ball. Don't become a bobby.
How could you say that? Don't you know that Jalen Green is the first person EVER to weigh under 14 stone and take 9 3 point attempts per game while averaging 29 points per game between November 7th and November 12th? He's the real deal.
Well, 25 more days and he can legally drink now, right? 25 more days for Stone to make a trade, right? While we are concerned with age.
Gerald Green was the wrong comp. He's not Gerald Green, I just meant he's not helping you in other areas of the game outside of scoring. I'll just get that out of the way now. I'm not saying I'm out on Green. He'll end up a solid player most likely. But it's disingenuous to say that his "disappointing outcome is he becomes Bradley Beal". His inefficient play and his nonexistent impact on helping win more games is concerning, is all I'm saying. Part of it is coaching, certainly. A better coach will help for sure. But he has not lived up to what you would hope from an elite prospect with the #2 pick, thus far.
He's just playing the long game, he's helping the team win in the long run by being the tank commander right now. If Green were to miss the rest of the season, the Rockets likely don't land a top 10 pick. So you could say that he's the most impactful player on the roster when it comes to landing another top 4 pick and potentially not blowing it this time.
This nonsense again. We gonna get top 10 pick regardless. Head honcho can't carry even if green wasn't playing. Making sht up to sht on green as a "concerned rocket fan" huh.
Take Jalen Green out of the game and the Rockets are a MUCH better team. I don't think a top 10 pick would be certain if Green missed the rest of the season especially considering it would led to more minutes for KJ Martin who is a much better team player than Green. His mindless chucking and worst defense in the league goes a long way towards turning winnable games into blowout losses. I know you stay on your knees for him, but at some point even you will have no choice but to see it.
Can't wait until u walk back and pretend you are a concerned Rockets fan again when Green gets better. Quite sad that your hard on for kpj and Mobley requires u to btch about green daily.
What's funny is you have one of his dumb takes in your signature and he still continues this nonsense. I get it though, he doesn't like Jalen and sometimes hate makes you say dumb stuff...
If Green stops being terrible at basketball, I'll stop being concerned that he's terrible at basketball? Like I said, you are implicitly acknowledging that I'm right, that Jalen Green absolutely sucks right now. The difference is that you have blind faith that he'll magically turn into a good basketball player one day and I need to see it rather than just assuming it'll happen. Fanbois like you are just embarrassing.
What "hot take" would that be? When I said Jalen Green was at least a few years away? We're now a year and a half into his career and he's still a below replacement level net negative player. If he doesn't drastically improve in the next few months, it'll have been "at least a few years".
Pffffft quite funny to see someone who shts on folks intelligent can't even distinguish the difference between actual concern and just nonsensical hating on a player. And green doesn't suck, he could b better but once again the kpj dumb pg experiment/ silas incompetence hinders the development of everybody else.
....and those concerns thus far have proven pretty accurate. He's a streaky shooter instead of a good one, he has basically no bag, he has super weak handles, what passes for his defense is an abomination. ....and yet you're still down on your knees for him calling any valid criticism "hate". At some point you're going to need to have some self respect and stop doing that. Wipe your chin and get on your feet my guy.
Really no point in holding u accountable for your nonsensical hater boner for Green. U are just gonna say u were being a concerned Rockets fans and all the hate nonsense were tru at that moment of time bs. Green is gonna b improved regardless of kpj pg abilites and silas incompetence. u r just gonna slink back into your safe space as the dumb@$$ who thought green was gonna b brewer 2.0 We been through this merry go around already.
Which is why it's odd you still feel the need to lie. We'll both be happy if Jalen Green stops being terrible at basketball... however, if he doesn't, how many more years do you plan on keeping your shtick up?
I said it before and I'll say it again. I just don't think Jalen will become the franchise player by just being the 2rd pick in the draft. I see the talent but I also saw talent from Jamal Crawford. So far I see a fringe All-star.
If u can give kpj the patience just to watch him fail to become the next harden, I'm quite comfortable waiting to see green shut your mouth up once more. It didn't take long for u to pretend to b a concerned Rockets fan.
The difference is that KPJ is actually showing something, before he was 21 KPJ had a highly efficient 50/11 game. KPJ is currently one of the best players on the team. If KPJ was anywhere near as bad as Jalen Green, I'd have exactly the same things to say.....and it's not like he doesn't have a lot to work on as is. Do you see how your guy is down there all by himself? You see how he's below 0 in both offense and defense? MAYBE that's why there is some criticism. Also, you whine about how I said I was worried if he didn't improve, he could become another Corey Brewer type? Well here's Corey Brewer's career chart Clearly that's wrong because Jalen Green will never be that good defensively.....yet his current offense is about where Corey Brewer's offense was in his prime. Now IMO I think he'll beat that worst case scenario offensively (he's got no chance of beating it defensively), so let's look at another guy, Lou Williams. Now maybe that's a bit optimistic, but with improvement on both sides of the ball, I could see Jalen Green pulling it off. For reference, here's where Jalen ended up after his rookie season
I can't really take TPA seriously or at face value, like how i tend to ignore +/- when we are tanking. Data is gonna be skewed. TPA is broken down via OPA and DPS. OPA is derived by adjusting offensive box plus/minus (OBPM) to account for the number of possessions the player in question is present for. Similarly, DPS is derived from a similar adjustment of defensive box plus/minus (DBPM) with that same number of possessions. We are tanking, everyone +/- is gonna b sht. TPA is gonna b skewed for tanking teams. Gordon TPA is sht, is he a bad player, nope, he's on a sht team. When a team is tanking, for me its best to look at the overall stats of the youngsters. Is his ppg going up? Is his assist/to ratio getting better? is his shooting percentage going up? Folks preach patience and what not yet can't even acknowledge that Green is improving. Green's tpa look like sht, i don't blame him, he has to play with KPJ as his pg. Basically setting him for failure from the getgo. Smith's tpa looks like sht, ditto for him also. Smith is dead last on TPA, is he the worst rookie? Man is 6th on the rookie ladder list. Why is that? If u use TPA as gospel then u would end up believing Nix who averages 3.3 pts is a better player than green. how stupid does that sound?
