I appreciate that Biden has been fully cooperating and and doing the right thing but do the lawyers have clearance to access these documents? Shouldn't someone with proper security clearance be conducting these searches? If his lawyers have this clearance, then disregard my query.
Damn, maybe Joe should be doing the searching instead of them. Now I need to go back to Google to see if his wife can help.
Too many confusing news reporting. Summary below from wiki and NPR. All in all, classified docs were found at Penn Biden Center and Biden's residence. Jan 11th and Jan 12th "separate" findings were due to lack of clearance (thus search was paused and then continued later which contributed to the perception of a slow leak of new findings). Why did they search Biden's residents? "Following the discovery of government documents at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, and coordinating closely with the Department of Justice, the President's lawyers have searched the President's Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, residences — the other locations where files from his Vice-Presidential office might have been shipped in the course of the 2017 transition. The lawyers completed that review last night" Spoiler: Statement from Richard Sauber, Special Counsel to the President President Biden’s personal attorneys have followed a process, coordinated with the Archives and the Department of Justice, to review documents at the Penn Biden Center and the President’s Delaware residences. The President’s personal attorneys conducting the searches do not have active security clearances, so if they identified a document with a classified marking, they stopped and did not review it, and suspended any further search in that box, file or other specific space where the document was found, as appropriate. Since the DOJ made contact with the President’s personal attorneys, the next step in the process was to notify DOJ and to arrange for DOJ to take possession of the document. This is what occurred in Wilmington on Wednesday when the President’s personal attorneys discovered one document with a classified marking consisting of one page in a room adjacent to the garage. At that point, the President’s personal attorneys stopped searching the immediate area where the document was found. Because I have a security clearance, I went to Wilmington Thursday evening to facilitate providing the document the President’s personal counsel found on Wednesday to the Justice Department. While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them. The President’s lawyers have acted immediately and voluntarily to provide the Penn Biden documents to the Archives and the Wilmington documents to DOJ. We have now publicly released specific details about the documents identified, how they were identified, and where they were found. The appointment of the Special Counsel in this matter this week means we will now refer specific questions to the Special Counsel’s office moving forward. As I said Thursday, the White House will cooperate with the newly-appointed Special Counsel. Timeline: Nov 2 - Biden personal lawyer found classified doc (some top secret) in a "locked closet" while packing files at Penn Biden Center. Reported to NARA same day and retrieved next day. Nov 4 - NARA referred to DOJ. Nov 10 - DoJ informed WH legal team it has begun preliminary inquiry. Garland assigned US Attorney to conduct this initial investigation. Dec 20 - 2nd batch of classified doc found by Biden's attorneys at his resident (in the garage of his home). Jan 11 - another doc was found in the library at Biden's residence. Jan 12 - Five more pages of classified doc recovered from the library (The additional pages were not reported earlier because the attorneys who made the initial discovery immediately stopped searching, because they did not have security clearances.) None of these are classified as top secret. Garland announces special counsel to investigate "possible unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or other records."
I don't think people realize how far ahead the us economy is compared to the rest of the world. We have the lowest unemployment rate in modern history with inflation cooling down rapidly. We're by far the global superpower. America
Seriously? Trumps *entire* business dealing were a lie and fraudulent. You folks are honestly talking about lying? The guy who incited a insurrection based upon election conspiracies? Really? The guy who pressured state legislatiors to change their results based upon fake conspiracies LOL. Do you ever sit back and hear yourself ? Really? Lying? LMAO I can't tell if you're being serious right now. Thanks for the good laugh buddy
The NY Times NEWS reporting is saying that Biden has "little to show for the past year" . . . media conspiracy
Trump isn't in office right now. Should everyone ignore Bidens dishonesty because the previous president was also dishonest? I get that all politicians lie but Biden lies about the silliest things.
Biden did do work on civil rights in the 70s...he also advised Ford to leave Vietnam. I'm not sure what's your point You do know unlike trump Biden has released all his taxes right? Instead of looking at morons on Twitter for clicks some of you should do some actual reading.
Such a laughably disingenuous talking point. Biden has been a career politician (a problem in of itself, people like you won’t recognize) drawing a salary from the federal government almost his entire working career with minimal private sector employment. His tax returns are relatively uncomplicated and will make less use of the tax code. People like Bloomberg (Democratic presidential nominee who never released his tax returns) and Trump, who have actually operated in the private sector and have not just been career politicians are less inclined to release tax information because their accountants use of the tax code is more likely to be weaponized against them politically. Stands to reason. Lets see a Democratic nominee, who isn’t a career politician, and how they go about things. Democrats tend to only nominate career politicians though.
Funny, maybe you folks should try nominating Carrer politicians and not the effin psychos you nominate now. You folks do realize trump and Bush are literally the worst presidents of our lifetime. You have a war mongering neocon who lied to the country about WMD to make up for his dad's mistake from the gulf war. Trump will go down in history as one of the top 3 worst presidents of all time. Great track record you folks have. Utter shitshow incapable of governoring other than tax cuts.
Perhaps you should brush up on your reading comprehension skills. This was about voting rights, specifically.
