No team growth, iso-ball philosophy, inability to integrate individual player strengths into his system, inability to control his players, idiotic rotations and minute distributions, etc. In short, nothing that indicates future potential success/growth, pretty much across the board. About the only thing he is good at is coach challenges and generally calls decent timeouts when the other team is on the run (of course, no answer after the timeout though). That's why Silas should be fired, not just because he is not winning.
I agree. Time to let him go. Not because we are losing, but because there is no development. I'm finally starting to worry that he is harming the young kids more than helping. I'm amazed that the Houston media isn't more critical of him. He is the nicest guy in the world, so maybe that is why. The only positive with keeping him, is that we probably will lost the maximum amount of games with him continuing to coach. That is good for the draft lottery.
There’s just nothing positive happening at all at this point. Guys like Christopher look way worse now than they did a year ago. That can’t happen.
I've been through horrible Oilers seasons. I've been through ghastly Astros seasons. I've been through terrible Rockets seasons. None of them compared. This is unbearable.
And to think I almost bought League Pass this year because I was buying the hype about the Rockets being a tough out for any NBA team. Whew. Silver lining I guess.
I think we should fire him just to put the young players on notice that if you don’t perform in this league then you out
Obtuse. Rockets don't have a talent issue. They have a direction/coaching/development issue. Players clearly aren't responding to this staff anymore, hence the 10 game losing streak. Jalen/KPj/Sengun/Jabari/EGo....all are basically like what's the point? This is the point of no return. Nice guy has to go. It's time. Most rebuilds you can see a semblance of a direction. What they're trying to do. You straight up cannot with this team. At best you see them trying to implement an iso centric offense with players that straight up are incapable of running it. The Jalen haters and the KPj haters were all running their mouths.....once X is gone you'll all see....and here it was in the flesh. Same ****. Again.
you giving him too much credit...i wouldn't have entrusted him with 2 tied up sheeps to take care of...
little late for that message since they let him do whatever he wants for 3 years without any repercussions
oh they are developing...development is something you see and observe every day... dont worry jalen will get his max contract anyway...sengun as well....
Our highest minutes went to Nix who put up a stat line of 1pt, 0-2fg, 1 reb, 2 ast, 4 TO. Silas needs that one way ticket to Thailand.
