I was impressed. Defense only had two bad drives. That doesn’t include the Jimmy Ward dumb penalty before the half. Half the Seahawks yards came on those two drives. Second half was all Niners. Seahawks couldn’t do anything. Game wasn’t as close as the score seemed. They gave up a late touchdown on that final drive but basically garbage time being up 24 with two minutes left. Outside of that drive, they allowed less than 75 yards in the second half. For some reason I expected more sacks but they did get 3 (2 from Texans legend Charles Omenihu) while forcing a couple turnovers.
By what standard? Outside of the Raiders game, no one had scored more than 20 pts against them in their last 10 games. The majority of those were 13 pts or less.
They’ve absolutely been dominating. Best defense in the league doesn’t mean you have to be the 2000 Ravens lol

Omenihu's talented enough to be a rotation player for the best defense in the NFL but not talented enough to avoid being thrown away by the Texans.
The more I think about it, the more my top two coaching choices are: Sean Payton and Jonathon Gannon. Payton is offensive-minded, which is what I want in the next head coach, defensive-minded hasn’t been working. And especially important if we are getting our future qb to develop. Do I WANT to trade a pick for him? No. But to be fair, a HC is soooooo much more important than any player. For example, I think if the chiefs drafted Watson, and we drafted Mahomes, the first 2-3 seasons would have gone the exact same for both teams. Payton can also fill out a great staff. Gannon is defensive. I know, that’s opposite what I said, but he could fill out a staff way better than any other candidate besides Payton. Reich OC, Zimmer DC, who knows, but if you are gonna be defensive then at least have the ability to get a strong OC. reasons against the others: Demeco- defensive minded, don’t think he can put together a strong enough offensive staff. I also think the niners D is just straight up, good.. *See saleh* and how they have done with Zach Wilson and the offense. Ben Johnson- too inexperienced.. could be a Daboll/Zac Taylor/Mcvay.. but could more likely be a Hackett/rhule/Etc.. also don’t know who he could bring as staff, but the idea of a bunch of TE coaches and linebacker coaches being our coordinators is worrisome. Eviro- no. Just no. Which probably means this is who the Texans grab. steichen- eh, offensive at least, done well with great talent, but see Johnson for staff worries..
Without making any comments on the Rooney rule in general or getting into the weeds on that… I feel like if a team requests an interview and can show that the candidate denied the request then that should be enough.. boycotting and refusing to interview shouldn’t make it so that the team doesn’t fulfill the rule, that also opens up a huge can of worms going forward..
I would only be interested in a young, smart, offensive minded coach. Or Demeco Ryans. Absolutely no retreads, no boring defensive coaches

These guys ignore all context to sharpen the pitchforks. Beginning with Romeo Crennel. Why didn't they just keep him the HC? The man who had already "retired" from the DC role to senior advisor role at age 73? The man who STAYED on staff as an advisor for the guy who "replaced" him? The man who had failed as a HC before? The Texans org loved Romeo and treated him with tremendous respect. He was 73 and had been pondering retirement the last 3 years in a row. Give me a break.
