These are really weird posts. Management knows exactly what they are doing. You're just unwilling to accept that they are trying to lose and get a top 3 pick. Everything you explain they should do is all aimed towards playing at a higher level. That isn't their goal right now. Accept it or keep driving yourself crazy.
people keep saying we need a “pass 1st PG”…no we don’t we need a good-great playmaker with high BBIQ that can run an offense Just as an example, are LaMelo and Darius Garland pass 1st? I wouldn’t put them in that box…they are still the type of PG who would greatly improve the offense and how it runs tho KPJ’s issue is that he is both a mediocre, below average efficiency scorer AND his playmaking is incredibly mediocre as well…yet he dominates the ball like the elite guards do we don’t need a Rondo tho they’re saying Scoot is like Ja…if that ended up being the case, Ja is nowhere near pass 1st, but he still knows how to run an offense as a PG…someone like KPJ has no clue
Fixed it for you. No, we don't need to do anything this year other than sit on our hands and wait for the draft lottery to happen. After that, we can formulate how best to move forward but until then, doing nothing is the best thing we can do. That includes trading one Eric Gordon because any deal for him is going to include a bad contract, so it's a deal best not made. Just cut him after the trade deadline and count your blessings ....
I think the GM did good on bringing in talent but he did bad bringing in a coach with no real winning experience. I think we have a super team in baby form talent wise. We have some holes on this team. That is a true pg (playmaker)and an elite rebounding big that’s a legit 7footer. With the team as is it’s really a simple fix which is feed your big men. The offense needs to be ran through Sengun. Jalen and KPJ would still average 25ppg playing that way. But the difference is the turnovers would be less. Also they need to run more mid range plays for Jabari just to get him going.
perfection if i’ve ever seen one. dam so much for getting homework done, going down a long rabbit hole now
Suck? I do not care if they win or suck. We are need to develop these players. They are not playing Sengun enough to develop his defense or outside shooting and it is not because of foul trouble. Why is he not playing Christopher….he can play. We need to start and play Martin to see if he can help us or not in the future. We need TyTy to play with the Rockets not the Vipers. Nix and Mathew are not the future. We only need to see to Center a game. I say the same thing because we need to develop and we are wasting time experimenting….KPJ as point guard…NIX as point guard….I have doubts on what they are doing…..blind leading the blind
Lol. I’m starting to think the real plan for stone is to gamble on the top 4 protected picks the next few years too. Even Wemby won’t save this shitshow next year or the year after.
I just want to develop our players this year so we will not fall behind. Orlando took a big step with Bancheros, Kings are now a playoff team, OKC have their franchise player and more on the way. I love our players we just need to play and develop for next year when the veteran come in the summer…..GUYS WE ARE ON THE SAME TEAM….I POST WITH LOVE. WE ALL WANT THE SAME THING.
Shai is a 5 year player that is yes, 24 year old. He's hitting his prime just when he should. If our guys are still failing to win games 5 years in the NBA and 24 years old then yes. Right now who is the leader of this team? KPJ? Green? Sengun? Any of these guys are terribly inexperienced and none of them are even close to their prime. Compare 20 year old Shai to 20 year old Green. He wouldn't have been able to do what he's doing now at that age and even still...OKC right now is nothing to be jealous over. But yes, Shai is a lot better than KPJ.
Kings are also being led by a young player just hitting his prime years. Fox is a 6 year NBA vet now that's 25 years old. Sabonis is an 8 year vet that's 26 years old. These guys are just now breaking out because they are just now hitting their primes. Compare 20 year old Fox to Green. Compare 20 year old Sabonis to Sengun. You're going to be pleasantly surprised. All I'm saying is...yes, I am sure we could develop players better. I wish we had solid vets on this team that could help out (although that would risk the tanking) but if we come back next year with a top 3 pick and some nice vet signings I don't think we've lost anything. Our team is SUPER young. Green is 20, Sengun 20, Smith 19...like these guys are super young. People expecting consistency out of them at this stage of their careers is more than unfair. If they were consistent we'd be right in the seeding battle and they'd be all-stars. These guys are still 2-3 years away from that. Wemby isn't going to make us much better (or Scoot) either unless he truly is a generational player that comes into the NBA and dominates instantly like Lebron or Shaq or Jordan or something...and he could be...but its safer to expect growing pains.
Obviously, your vision for this team does not match that of ownership or management .... starting a new thread on the subject every third day isn't going to change that ..... ever. We'll still respond to you if you keep it all in one thread ....
We're not falling behind, we are behind. OKC have been rebuilding since they traded Westbrook to us Orlando have been rebuilding since Dwight left.
I legit think a Scoot + Scoot + Jalen rotation would be pretty lethal, as long as Scoot is the primary playmaker and not Scoot. Scoot would have to be willing to take a backseat to Scoot though--and if we get lucky enough to get a top-two pick I think it would be very interesting to see how this all scoots out all this scooting is giving me scooties...
