I believe that’s his agent for his NIL deals. He can have an agent negotiate his NIL deals and remain eligible for NCAA competition.
Purdy has Williams, Aiyuk, McCaffrey, Deebo and Kittle. He’s a nice story but the talent surrounding him is insane.
EXACTLY ...and especially when there is no championship-caliber QB in this year's draft class. Build the fortress of talent, and get a great offensive head coach.
Lol how do you know there’s not a championship qb in this draft? Was Mahomes viewed as championship level coming out of Tech?
Yes, both my work and that of my most trusted advisors identified him as a superior talent capable of winning championships. Conversely, we have a 3rd round grade on Bryce Young.
Baby Shan is to quarterbacks as Daddy Shan was to running backs.... Kinda ironic when you think about all the investment they've made at QB!
Exactly! I get there’s no Peyton Manning / Andrew Luck prototype in the draft…but that type of hyped QB prospect happens like once every 10 years… Doesn't mean the guys there now cant be effective pros. Alotta these cats expectations are so high they would never draft anybody and end up with paralysis by analysis.
A young QB could have a lot of talent around him after this draft. Hyatt Washington Achane Kincaid would look pretty good down on Kirby Hyatt/Collins/Metchie/Rodgers/Moore/Achane Pierce/Achane/Roschaun Johnson Kinkaid/Q/Akins Those are pretty good weapons, gotta find a center though.
What consists of the “fortress of talent” I this draft oh wise one? We need to know as Texan fans, plus you have some pretty great advisors!
No doubt. Same with Brees, Russ, and Aaron Rodgers. Nobody had them as “championship level” but all won a chip and 1st ballot hall of famers.
I've looked at Kincaid and like the film, he's #2 rated TE for these guys... https://www.profootballnetwork.com/...eim-bell-lead-the-chase-behind-michael-mayer/ Here's the Center I like... https://www.profootballnetwork.com/john-michael-schmitz-c-minnesota-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/ I want a bully in the middle, who still has enough skills to pull or get to 2nd level, this kid appears to have those abilities. Look at the 4th example in this clip, OSU #52 tries to throw him aside and he sticks to him like Gorilla glue! Ignore that they show the first play twice--poor editing...
I don’t know where the statistics are exactly right now, but as recent as a couple years ago analyses of past drafts round-by-round over the past decade plus have shown about a 50% success rate drafting QB’s in Round 1 dropping off to something like 30% in round 2 in terms of teams hitting on that QB draft pick, and after round 2 the percentages drop off so low that it’s like hitting the lottery
Love everything about that draft except for the “best RB available” if we get Achane to pair with Pierce don’t waste another draft pick on an RB. That’s 3 picks in 2 years. Use that pick for best front-7 D player or best IOL available.
now watching Skylar Thompson with Miami giving it to the bills. It would be worse if waddle would hold on to the ball. Build the defense and offense playmakers up and get a serviceable QB that’s better than mills
Game Result (found a flaw) 1 Will Anderson ED 2 Jalen Carter DI 33 Anthony Richardson QB 64 Cedrick Gray LB 73 Devon Achane HB 96 Byron Young DI 103 Eli Ricks CB 104 Cade Stover TE And Chicago 2024 R1, R2, R3, R4 And Cardinals 2024 R1 to go with Texas' 2024 R1 and Cleveland's 2024 R1 So 4 2024 R1 draft picks which should be fairly high to go after the GOAT.
