In Nick brief history of drafts you can see he had no issues trading up or trading back. In reality it doesn’t matter what Chicago does.. the worse case scenario would be if Texans like Young a lot and there worried Colts want him as well the Texans trade up. I just don’t see that happening at all. Just because you believe Stroud and Levis are reaches doesn’t mean they do. Colts could want to trade up for Levis and Young would be and option at 2. Also what if the Texans don’t like Young? Texans could go defense with pick 2 and then trade back up for there qb. There is no consensus #1 qb in this draft. Anything could happen! Is it a shock that the Vegas odds shifted in Levis favor once the rumor of CJ returning to school? So much smoke from all the teams, let’s see what happens.
Not according to these https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/positions/QB/1/2023 https://draftwire.usatoday.com/list...d-anthony-richardson-will-levis-cameron-ward/ https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2023/...-passers-risers-team-fits?device=featurephone draft2023QB
People should stop using Nfl draft buzz. The website looks nice, but if you read their write up all of their rankings are before this season and haven’t been updated.
Point is everything I have seen has Young as the consensus number 1 QB in this draft. His size hasn’t seemed to hinder him playing in the toughest conference in the country. In addition, Bill O’Brien has said understands and comprehends what’s happening on the football field more than any QB he has coached which includes Brady and Watson. To be successful in the NFL, you not only need the physical tools but maybe more importantly you need it between your ears.
I agree with all of that, but an OSU booster is entitled to believe that Stroud is number 1 regardless of what we think and some teams may in fact have him number 1 because of his size. It’s not completely outlandish even though I think Young is the best qb in this class.
I'm thinking like this. Achane 8 to 10 carries per game, of the equivalent of 2 series. 5 catches 5 KR/PR
If Carr gets traded, does the new team have to pick up that 40 million dollar option? If so, he's getting cut.
I actually want Kalfka or Stiechen or Gannon. Wouldn't it be awesome to have an offense that had multiple weapons that were threats to score every time they touch the ball? Hyatt/Achane give you this,
Here's the center I would love to get in 3rd... https://www.profootballnetwork.com/john-michael-schmitz-c-minnesota-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/ He's a 6th year Sr, and will be 24 years old so I'm hoping that means he slips past first two rounds. He's 6'4", 320 range and has elite power and lots of experience. I'm tired of our centers getting blown-up and want someone who can mash/stand his ground.
Watching Brock Purdy makes me want to go defense with our first two picks and get a vet in free agency
