Classic disingenuous response from a poster who spends all day everyday making such posts.

I do not labor under the presumption every dollar allocated to research in our $800 billion defense budget is well used. Assuredly large amounts are not well used.

That’s not to say government funded research has never provided society with anything.

    and I didn’t say that.

    but you knew that.

    Are you willingly to compromise?

Are you willingly to accept amnesty as part of a greater border/immigration reform? Personally, I believe we need do another round of Ronald Reagan style amnesty that will be dependent on increased border security, and reforming immigration and labor laws.

Exactly, and you shouldn't be forced to do it.

Only if you think other people should have more control over your money than you.

Unfortunately for you that's not how the developed world works. You are not entitled to have complete control over your money in this system.

You can think whatever you want or post real simple sounding answers, but that doesn't make it the reality.

This should be the most rational choice. We’re not going to be able to get rid of all
“Illegal” immigrants. That would be very closely and damaging to our economy. The most reasonable solution would be to get them
Integrated into our system, reform immigration laws to make them closer to the demand both to come to this country and that businesses want to hire immigrants and in return provide more border security. The problem is too many want to politicize the issue.

Actually the best way is to support progressive governments like the one in Mexico that have raised the minimum wage and taxes the old elites who keep the majority of the people destitute. Instead we almost always encourage those who bust their attempts to unionize. Another good way is to actually give Latin Americans real financial aid designed to help their development even if not immediately profitable for US elites. Instead we send their militaries armaments, though it is profitable for our "defense" lol industry. The Mexican president has requested that we help them in sending money to pay drought stricken Guatemalan peasants that can't service on their lands to plant trees. Also quit deliberately trying to destroy the economies of Cuba and Venezuela with economic embargoes.

It would not surprise me if we spend more on border police, prisons, courts etc. than all of our non military aid to Latin America. Unlike our country that starts or encourages wars, when is the last time a Latin American country attacked another one?

Yeah Yeah Yeah Make it for the entire world Of course "libertarians" would have a fit as it might somehow interfere with the freedom of the billionaires to exploit folks.

Yes, you should own yourself and your property. It shouldn't be subject to the choices of other people. I'm glad you are following along.

You should not be allowed to use government money or banking or government land deed records.
You can just drift around the earth with your body I guess a sovereign individual not subject to laws, though I wonder how much property you could have without being subjected to the laws society (people) have chosen.

Your proposal is exactly what Reagan agreed to back in '86 but never got.

So because it worked so well the first time (sarcasm), we should do it again?
