    I really think they'd have made more money sticking with the fully white cast from 50 years ago and avoiding the knee-jerk anti-woke backlash, so a poor calculation on their part if that was the motive.

    I didn't realize that preserving the white race of characters in cartoons was such a big deal for some people. The insistence on a white Velma in a Scooby Doo reboot was not something I would have thought would happen 10 years ago.
