It's normally a slaughterhouse if the circumstances are messy. There is a sense of getting back at you with 'clownshow', what's the difference to a dumpster fire situation.
i mean that's the point. it's apparently messy, but you don't see the other 10 win teams in the league being regarded as so
Fertita is cancer, **** him. The difference is that I set my expectations correctly, while 99% of the fans on this forum did not. There is literally like five people who understand what is happening and why. If you know you have no shot at winning, you need to be in last place. That is the most important thing period. That's my position, and that's how I set my expectations. The Rockets are delivering. It was pure fantasy to think the Rockets were going to lose but "be competitive". That's not how being a bad basketball team works. Fans were OUTRAGED at Sengun not starting. They changed that. Fans still mad. Fans were OUTRAGED Nix was playing. They changed that. Fans still mad. Fans were OUTRAGED Tyty was not playing. They changed that. Fans still mad. I can go on and on. The bottom line is, fans are outraged because they didn't know what rebuilding looked like and they can't accept it, because they think they are entitled to something more. They aren't.
Wrong. The OKC trade prevents us from “tanking” beyond this season. We will continue to rebuild beyond this season.
And why would the rockets gamble again with that? Tilman has said we are going to compete next season so we aren’t going to tank for a top 4 pick. So. Wrong.
You have no reason to dislike Tilman then, sounds like y’all are two peas in a pod. You would have never had your way with Les and Morey running things. You should really just turn your avatar to a pic of Tilman smiling, maybe include Stone and Silas.
There are basically two schools of thought on CF. 1. Stone knows exactly what he's doing. He is deliberately setting the team to lose in order to win in the Wemby race. Everything we complain about the current state of the Rockets is actually working to Stone's vision. 1a. Silas is the willing accomplice in this genius tanking endeavor. 1b. Silas is too naive to know that he is being used by Stone and will be the fall guy when the dust is settled. 2. Stone doesn't know what he is doing. Everything we complain about is directly or indirectly linked to his incompetence, including personnel and coaching decisions. There is a minority third view. 3. Be patient. This is what it's like in a rebuild. Just trust the process.
If our #2 & #3 picks the last two drafts, and Sengun, are supposed to be our best prospects, don’t we have to judge Stone’s performance by how well those prospects are developing? To me it’s all about Jalen, Jabari and Sengun. If we can maximize their potential the rebuild is going great. If not, we’re in trouble.
Close his eyes and randomly generate the rotations for Silas. Except , of course green and kpj have to play a ton of minuets I think he plans to make a top pick and use cap space and that we will be much better next year . And he probably expected us to be a bit better right now . Jabari did not come in at the level that I thought . Where is his shot ? Another question, are we prioritizing developing him ? Our track record with green is basically "let the player run wild and hope they figure it out for themselves" These kids need structure and Stones plan was a bit to broad scope imo . Maybe he counted completely on the coaching staff for that but as per @Nook it seems like stuff lacks discretion there And JK on the randomly generate . Stone is trying to lose . It does generate a cushion . Maybe we can flip the switch and play above .500 for 20 games ? But prolly not It was unlucky that Tate went out .injuries are expected , but that he went down for AZ many games as he did really hampered us imo He doesn't look all the way back on offense , and that will happen when you miss almost 40 games . But, we have a tiny bit of pop now . I haven't watched all the games this year , but I did watch the last one .the kings are actually Good and even though we lost, we kept it a game for a while despite KPJ going down (and he wad having a good game ) We gotta build on that game . Continue to work jaesean in . And everyone can take something from that game . Sengun had his moments , so did green , kmj etc .. I wanna see a tate Tari garuba Smith lineup for a game where Smith is shooting it .hopefully he comes around and that translates sooner than later . As for the 5th player , experiment . What If tate can shoot? Tari has been OK percentages wise , but I've seen ugly clanks .garuba at least has the confidence to Launch . He's the white garrison Matthew's. Aight ima stop rambling
I believe the Rockets should build around Sengun. To do that we need a Power Forwrd who can play above the rim to protect Sengun on defense and a PF who can shoot at the 3 point line. We need a point guard who can help Sengun spread the ball to Jalen and Jabari. RUMORS!!!!!!! I heard from two sources that Rockets are trying to trade for Lonzo Brown. He is hurt but expect to come back next month. I do not know if the Bull would do this but they are drained with no draft capital, and the guys who they traded for might leave next year. Ball would be perfect for us next year, with Wemby or Amen
1 and 3 are not mutually exclusive. I hold both views except that I don't trust the process as much as I trust the players.
