Honestly . . . Harden is probably the Second Best Rocket since Hakeem
He is in my top 5 favorites: Hakeem, Yao, Harden

Everything You, Asian and other feel about Harden . . . is what I feel about TMac.
I am so grateful He pulled us out of the crap that was the TMac era.
TheTransition was hectic but worth it.
Best Basketball team we had in years.

    Harden + Yao = Championships
    TWac + Yao = 1st round exits

Hate Harden all you want . .. . Point to Playoff disappointments all you want
They never compare the ridiculousness that was the TMac era.
Harden Lost to a lower seed Twice I believe - Portland who had the same record as us . . and Golden State who had 4 hall of famers and he lost CP3 to a hamstring

I'm not saying he perfect or played perfect basketball . . or could not have played better
    BUT
I am D*mn appreciative of the years he was here

I don't like the way he left .. . but if we honest with ourselves. . . it was time.
I would have preferred he did it a different way . .. I preferred if Stone had did it in the off season or earlier
I would be curious of the trades that was turned down before Harden went nuclear.
(Were they better or worse than what we got)

That Said. 3 Yrs Later and I have more hope for this team than I did during the Post Yao Pre Harden era

But then again . . . I am more positive and optimistic about the current team than most
(We a Sam Cassell Coaching hire away!!)

3 times if you include the Spurs after they lost Kawhi and Tony Parker.

I would've appreciated him being able to coexist with his co-stars for more than a few years at a time.

A Technicality that there were still the higher seed
Unless I am mistaken that was one game without Kawhi

Agreed. However I will say that the only one that I wanted him to Coexist with was CP3
Westbrook was a dumpster fire and no one can win with him
Dwight wanted the ball on the block all game long and was not overly efficient there
--- I was not sure a Dwight Centric team could have won and he seemed unwilling to do anything different.

Sure, technically, they were the higher seed. But we all know we should've beaten the Spurs. We were something like 6 point favorites in game 6.

Dwight wanted to co-star with Harden, not have the offense revolve around him. He was unwilling to sacrifice the post touches that were promised to him.

    2. Dunno if Dwight in the post was winning basketball though

Harden is one of my favorite players too, I'm not sure Harden is better than T-Mac thou.

I don't feel any hatred towards Harden, I hope he succeeds and wins a chip. If he is going to destroy my team well then atleast get something out of it, I'll really hate Harden if he doesn't win anything. Saying he could have done things different when leaving is an understatement. He basically had to destroy The Rockets in order to land where he wanted and The Rockets at the time did him a solid by actually giving him what he wanted. He didn't just "leave". He burnt the whole building down before evacuating. I don't mind that he left, I have never and will never want a player on The Rockets that does not want to wear a Rockets jersey. I don't hate players that don't want to be here either. I respect it. That wasn't the case with Harden. Even still, because he did give us a good run of hope until we found out what he was I am grateful. For that I wish him the best and I hope that he does win a chip. Atleast it was for something.

As a player his stats do point towards being the 2nd best Rocket of all time, then you see the system and era he was playing in and I'm not so sure. He traveled and flopped like crazy. He got soo many points off of fouls alone. Something T-Mac, Francis and Yao never did. Did he earn those points? I guess so, were they freebies by tricking the refs.. Most certainly. Give those free throws to any of the players mentioned above and they all score the same amount Harden did and T-Mac probably scores 40 ppg...

I'm pretty content with the current team, not the losing. Just the potential. I'm willing to be patient for Wemby. I'm willing to wait for wins. Mainly because I know what 2nd round exits are like. The reason I don't care about tanking is thanks to Harden. Regular season wins are fun, 2nd round exits are not. I rather look forward towards something than knowing the way it will eventually end every year.

16/12/15 on 86/66/66 splits. Am I watching Harden or Jokic?

    Stick the hatred to reality….

Harden has played 966 games if none of his FTs in his entire career counted he scores about ~17000 points.

Tracy in 938 games counting everything ~ 18000 points.

Delusional bias to believe it was just the era, the FTs. Or for that matter that all or a majority of his FTs weren’t legitimately earned. For a 5-7 year run pretty much no one consistently attacked the basket as much as Harden did in the entire league. Tracy had to settle for mid to long range jumpers far too often by the time he got here.

2nd round exits suck? He made it past there a couple times while Tracy never got us to the 2nd round.

Hate him for his disappointing playoff games. Hate him for his role in the Westbrook abomination. Hate him for leaving, I guess. Probably be on the true mediocrity treadmill again had he stayed, earning us picks in the teens or low 20s.

But this traveling, tricking the refs bullshit… like that’s the reason other Rockets weren’t as good. Please.
