From that link, she might be your Senator. https://people.com/politics/katie-porter-announces-candidacy-2024-california-senate-race/ I don't like Schiff and don't know much about Barbara Lee except that she's 75...
I rarely donate to any political campaigns, but Katie Porter is one campaign I will be supporting. She's awesome and actually gives a **** about the people.
It's insane that Dianne Feinstein filed papers for a reelection campaign when she would be 90 years old. 90!
Jesus Christ lady. No publicly traded corporations promised her board seats for her services the past decades for her to see retirement as worthwhile?
Ro KHanna, the lawmaker representing the Silicon Valley is also interested in the race; his recent private poll shows that Schiff is leading @ 40%, Khanna/Porter @ 20% and Lee @ 10% this poll is predicated on Gov Newsom, who has won >61% of the votes over his last 3 state elections, not in the race. Should Gov good hair enter the senatorial race, he would win easily It has been reported that Newsom has assured Biden/Harris that his will not enter the 2024 presidency race; so he is targeting the 2028 race. as a US Senator, Newsom can pick up relevant foreign policy experience , which will beef up his resume for the 2028 presidential run https://napavalleyregister.com/opin...cle_d5cddca2-7bef-11ed-b1c9-4337ab105ed1.html
Porter's numbers makes sense, though I like Porter more than Ro Khana. Might be a NorCal/SoCal thing but he's too embedded with the valley for me to consider him as a progressive who will stick his neck out for the common American. He speaks well and has great ideas that are in tune with the educated upper class demographic. I haven't his seen his bills or causes transform much in reality. I need to see more? Newsom is a shoo-in if California isn't in a debt crisis at that point in time. Good luck?
