Agreed. But the execution is still so piss poor. Their plan is to actually hype up new uniforms that won’t come out for over a freaking year. Not only a setting themselves up for disappointment with such a long reveal, they’ve have basically killed merch sales for the next year and a half. Also don’t see how these aren’t leaked before next April.
Where would they even put a new stadium? Houston already has **** on top of **** as is. They’d have to demolish the astrodome or put it outside the city limits.
It’s a good stadium…but just doesn’t have a real feel too it I can’t explain it. It just doesn’t scream home field advantage Or it doesn’t seem like a place where teams dread having to come play like arrowhead or Buffalo or Pittsburgh…even on our most successful years
Winning would fix that. I've been to many Bills games. Most when they weren't great. It didn't have that feel to it. Stadium isn't comparable to the newer stadiums, either. I've been to many Browns games. Doesn't have a feel to it. Fairly nice stadium though.
Home field advantage is earned. No stadium can make up for the product that is being put on the field.
I can't speak to their actions, per se - but if there's a significant overhaul, top to bottom - it's long overdue. And if the net result of this offseason is a head coaching hire that inspires hope; active free agency; a draft full of promise; new uniforms; and a seemingly move toward understanding they need to collectively just do everything better.... that would be a very good offseason for this team. Yes, obviously, priority 1 is wins. But even if everything goes perfectly, they may still be a season or two away. So this other stuff matters much more in the interim.
Perhaps, but if I'm in charge of the release once I get league approval I'm producing those babies and stocking the shelves ASAP. If that approval doesn't come until Apr 2024, then yeah it could create a problem, however, just like other teams that have changed their logos/unis they will still probably use the old unis in the future for throwback events.
Seems that they are definitely planning on waiting which why an announcement now doesn't make any sense.
