This is hilarious. Comically bad organization trying to drum up casual fan interest with new uni’s when the leadership, coaching and product on the field is trash. The thing is, the Houston football fan is so starved for anything good it will probably work. Plenty of Karen’s and Sharon’s will shell out big bucks for the latest thing. Barf. What a loser franchise. edit: by Karen’s, I don’t mean politics. I mean the Lance zerlein impression of casual Texans fans and their wives, who he has called Karen’s for a very very long time.
Columbia blue is definitely coming back. Seems as if all signs have been pointing to it. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a leak sometime during the 2023 season.
I think the Texans probably missed the deadline for new unis to be worn for the 2023 season. Especially if there’s a tweak or full redesign, you have to run it by the league office. I could be wrong about the deadline thing. If someone could help with that.
The media seems to be all in gaga mode over seeing the new unis... I feel like they are secretly being paid under the table to act like that. I think once we see it, as a Texans tradition, we're being setup for an epic failure.
The unis are one media blitz. Texans social media is now blitzing us with details of the coaching search. The idiotic ownership and front office are desperate to manufacture interest and credibility. Just shut up, do a good job, hire a great coach, draft well. Wait, can’t do that? Not sure you can? Oh, I know. Let’s start talking about new unis and fire up the social media machine. Surely they won’t notice we are incompetent.
A lot of the teams actions over the last year at least seem to suggest that ownership finally realizes how bad the teams reputation has gotten with the fans. Sure as hell won't help the on field product, but at least acknowledging the overall problem is something...I guess, but Tommy Boy is is still Tommy Boy.
Or same shade.... and they call it something different... "battlefight blue". Given that media members have to be pretty tight-lipped about this, I don't think they're going to reveal anything concrete... including in their denials.
