There are numerous things wrong with this team.

Of course removing KPJ won't instantly put them in the playoffs.

Just like removing Silas wouldn't make the team better if KPJ was still playing PG.

Rockets suck without KPJ, Rockets suck with KPJ. He does nothing to make the team better.

I wonder if we could trade Silas and Porter for a 1st?

Absolutely, it was amazing watching Jalen out there mindlessly chucking, turning the ball over, and not playing any defense whatsoever leading to a 20 point loss.

    So much better.

Nobody has claimed that this Rockets team would win more games without KPJ. The argument has always been that they would play better basketball without him and they indeed played better basketball without him.

Whether the team was the same or worse, it's a learning opportunity for KPJ. The team shouldn't look the same without him, after all he's the head honcho.

I'll go on record and say this will help him improve and trust his teammates more. Everyone wins.

Oh it didn't, it was considerably worse, especially Jalen.

Turns out KPJ might have been the only thing keeping him from going full chucker and outright sabotaging the team on both sides of the ball.

With as well as everyone else played, if Jalen got hurt instead of KPJ, the Rockets win easily.... just like they did last year when Jalen got hurt.

At some point we're going to have to be honest about how terrible he is at basketball thus far in his career.

Completely agree. We’re losing with or without KPJ, but it’s more fun watching the ball movement and playing as a team. We just ran out of gas and talent in the end. I can live with losses like this.

And it has coincided with the Rockets' worst stretch of the season. To me, it just comes down to him not being a PG and having an inability to manage the game. I have no problem trading Gordon and moving him to the SF spot and letting someone else run the offense, whether it's one of our actual PG's or Sengun. This isn't a "KPJ has to go" post, t's a "KPJ is not a PG" post. Trying to make that happen is doing a disservice to both him and the team.

What do you do about this team being the worst shooting team in the NBA? Is that tied to the PG position?

They were shooting fine last night. 39% on 3PT and 45.8% overall. Not great by any means. But better than before.

They were in the game till the 4th. They just couldn’t handle Sabonis and Kings got hot at the right time.

I don't care I didn't have to watch us stay a respectable 10 points behind for the entire game and watch stupid KPJ start the offense at 11 seconds on the shot clock.

In the offseason, I think you sign or trade for guys who can shoot. That has to be a priority. But if you remove the responsibility of game management from KPJ and allow him to catch & shoot more often, an area where he has been effective in the past, it should mean better shooting from him. That could have a domino effect. He’s a potential weapon being poorly utilized.

When KPJ was declared out, who do you have as a PG on the team? Stone/Silas sent the only true PG on this team that can play down to the G-League.

I glad to see what we saw last night than seeing fatty boy Sideshow Bob Trash Nix out there running the offense.

Yes, the wide open shots are just different when they come from Sengun.

    KPj haters want him getting 10 pts & 10 assists....but I say 20 pts & 7 to 8 assists.

I wonder if the SOF's are ok with Sengun getting 10 pts & 10 assists
    per game like last night.

You know, lame point guard pass first. numbers

I don’t think Roosh’s opinion is right, to each his own.
