Lol you guys are high if you want Rick Smith back. Couldn't wait to get rid of him then, and definitely do not want him anywhere near now.
Rick Smith was a underrated GM. He made a good coaching hire in Kubiak and built a badass roster. I would love Rick back because he nailed first round picks at a high clip.
I like Payton but I don’t wanna give up a 1st rounder for him Team is too talent poor to give up that kinda capital for a coach
Don't even know why people even think Payton even wants to coach for the Texans, and the Texans sure as hell can't afford to be trading away a first or even 2nd rounders for him at the moment.
Yeah, but did he cook pancakes for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes every Friday while he was a quarterback scout at Marvin Ridge HS?? Spoiler
Too much for the guy that is in charge of running the entire team? Look at it this way, if the Saints offered Payton for Kenyon Green straight up, you’d take it right?
Exactly folks who don’t like Rick Smith dont remember how good those teams were… we just never sucked enough to get a top QB .. and missed out on Payton’s return
Payton couldn’t win with a Saints team without Brees now you guys think he going to turn around a rebuild
Cherry picking last draft, is there any player available at 15 that you wouldn’t have made the trade? I love the draft but statistically speaking, you are more than likely getting another Kenyon Green type player, especially if there are proper protections on the pick. I don’t think there is any way Sean Payton takes this job but he would have a significant bigger impact on this franchise than 99% of the players we’d likely take with the pick.
