Jim Caldwell has become the designated Rooney interview in the league. The Broncos just interviewed him and they've been talking to Sean Payton for a couple of days now, so you know there's an announcement coming soon
I was all ready to start fresh going into this off-season... then they went out and inexplicably/embarrassingly won that last game, and it reminded me just how dysfunctional this organization is... and how jaded the fans who continue to support them "no matter what" truly are. Good organizations ensure they get the #1 pick. There is that big of a difference in value between picking first every round... and not... regardless of who is truly available at the top. Despite them trying to win, they still had to launch a Hail Mary on 4th and 20 and convert a 2 pointer to eventually accomplish this.... even more inexplicable that they let Lovie coach and didn't order certain players to be benched (as Chicago did). Awful. Trash.
If New Orleans wants a first for him from Denver, they are going to have to wait until well a long time to get it.
They'll supplement with a third or Miami's pick or something tangible for this coming draft. Broncos brass doesn't give a **** about the draft, they're about to go on a spending spree
No, that's just the smoke they (Texans) are blowing up the collective behinds of their fanbase with their PR offensive.
Don’t think Russell Wilson’s contract has kicked in just yet. They will definitely be once it does starting 2024/2025. His contract is atrocious.
How would you guys feel if the Texans tried to get Fields without moving that #2 overall pick? Something like the 12th overall pick and one of our 3rd rounders?
So you get a QB who really hasn’t taken the leap to say he’s a franchise type… but 2 years closer to free agency… rather than just being in position to draft that possible guy outright because you don’t know how to successfully run an organization. And you get less draft picks. Cal and new HC Pep Hamilton and OC Matt Patricia approve!!!
